It's a short (2-4 blocks) walk to the ocean, beaches, great shops and restaurants in delightful downtown Pacific Grove. Huge master suite with ocean views. 15 minute walk to the aquarium or a 5 minute drive to Pebble Beach and "17 Mile Drive." Unlike most large homes in the area, we don't charge extra for additional people! This is a historic beauty and we'd love to have you stay with us! 2-for-1 tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium also available for guests.

A bottle of California wine and original photographs of sea lions, otters, whales and harbor seals greet you at this beautifully restored, custom craftsman home. “Sea Lion House,” as we like to call it, was built in 1916 and has been carefully maintained over the years. The original, vintage O’Keefe range still cooks up great meals in the recently remodeled kitchen (with soapstone counters and warm cork flooring). Hard wood floors and the original hard wood paneling adorn the living room and dining room. There are 3 bedrooms, including a huge master suite with a 2nd sitting area, high ceilings and views of the ocean. There is an extra room upstairs set up as a play area for the kids. The house has 2 ½ bathrooms and the front bathroom has the original claw foot tub too!

You’ll have full run of the house, enclosed garden and 2-car garage (with laundry room). We trust that you’ll care for our house, while you're there, with the same love and attention that we give to it.

Other things to note:
The sofa bed in the master suite is a European style bed that is made of two firm twin mattresses (no lumps or bumps!) that can be combined to make a queen. Extra linens and blankets are provided.

We now offer the same Monterey Bay Aquarium discounts that local hotels offer. Just ask and we can send you a link where you can purchase 2 for 1 tickets. (Beware: the use of local owners' guest passes is strictly against the Aquarium's rules.)

The beds, linens and furniture in Sea Lion House are new or beautiful antiques (purchased in 2016-2017). There are Hotel Collection towels and high thread count sheets. There is also a hot-water shower outside in the enclosed back yard to warm up in and to clean up those sandy toes after an outing to the beach or the local tide pools. Beach chairs and beach towels are also provided!

We have a new gas Barbecue grill at the house. We ask that guests clean the grill (using the scraper provided) and ensure the gas is turned off immediately after using the grill.

Beautiful location, beautiful house!
What a lovely, spacious property! The beds were very comfortable with lots of space to relax and enjoy the view. It was fun to walk around this quiet, historic neighborhood. The owner has thought of everything to make your visit perfect. I would highly recommend this property.
