NEGATIVES
-- Frustrating Door Lock/Unlock system - Found that if you pull the door toward you when locking, it seemed to lock more easily. As far as unlocking, I have no clue. We would put the proper "code" in each time, sometimes it would unlock, sometimes not.
-- Very uncomfortable bed. The mattress was concave. My husband and I would end up sliding into the "hole" in the center of the bed. We referred to it as The Abyss.
-- Our nephew slept on the pull-out sofa bed. He also noted that it was not very comfortable. Not sure what the problem was there, but he ended up just sleeping on the sofa instead of the pull-out sofa bed.
-- Lots of construction going on. The area doesn't look as pretty as it does in the photos since there are piles of dirt and half built houses seemingly everywhere. This area is cute, but I think very soon it is going to have a little house or big house choking out anything resembling nature. Maybe I am not a fan of crowded subdivisions, I don't know. So, take that comment with a grain of salt. It is a nice place, cute.
We visited for 4 nights in November. The weather was great and we did a LOT of hiking at nearby Starved Rock State Park. My husband would walk our dog in the subdivision in the morning and in the evening. We really just needed a place to sleep and a place that was welcoming to our dog. This place was fine for those things. I think the sleeping problems could be easily fixed by investing in a decent mattress, and maybe a mattress for the pull-out bed.
