It was ok, the price was right and that’s what mattered for the night. The free parking and breakfast was nice on top of the price. Our room smelled odd and the bathroom was a bit dated and the shower really slippery. Overall it was clean and the beds were comfy, food was nearby. Not too bad.

Room was suffocating and we felt like the ventilation/air circulation in the room is very poor, even though the AC is on. Reception did nothing and just said they had no other rooms available to change. They should use room freshener at least to give a fresh feel when we enter the room. Breakfast was good. I was double charged for second night even though I booked for 2 days. Hotels.com refunded the amount and told that the property said we were a “no show” and they couldn’t refund the amount. It was ridiculous as we stayed there for 2 days and also had go through the bad room that we have been assigned. This is not the kind of experience we were looking for and would never prefer this property again.

The only light in the bathroom in the room we were given (integrated into the bathroom mirror) was malfunctioning the entirety of the 3 days we were there, flashing intensely like a strobe light. We spoke with the front desk 3 times on separate days asking for it to be fixed and it never was. A maintenance man even came to the room on the second night of our stay and said he couldn't do anything about it.

Great place to stay
Overall, our stay was great at the la quinta. We usually stay at this property for the location, price and quality. This time it felt like the room could have been cleaned a bit better like we saw a dead roach in the ceiling light and the coffee machine didnt look like it had been touched in a long time. But the service is great and the little things didnt ruin the stay at all.
