Great road trip stopover
We stayed one night on a road trip from Olympic NP to Rainier NP, and it was a great place to stop. There are limited restaurant options in the area, but we found a great sushi place nearby called Trapper’s - super happy hour specials until 6 and very fresh sushi, with vegetarian options. The hotel was very clean & had on-site laundry. They closed the laundry from 8pm until 8am, which threw us off a bit on our planned early morning start time, but it worked out fine. It’s a convenient spot right by the freeway.

The front desk lady Sophie was rude, unapologetic, unprofessional and dismissive. Our reservation was apparently unconfirmed even though we had the itinerary number and the money was taken out of our account. She could physically see on the screen that we had a reservation for that night but told us there were king rooms left available. Expected us to call Expedia to get it sorted out. Then she downgraded our room from a king size bed to two queens and gave the last king bed to the guy behind us!! There was absolutely no compensation offered whatsoever for all the trouble we were put through! What’s the point of having a single night away from the kids if you and your husband can’t even sleep in the same bed?! We should have been given a free upgrade or free snacks at least but we weren’t even given complimentary water bottles like every other guest we saw checking in!

Check in was easy and fast. Room was clean, bathroom was clean too and of course clean towels is a must and they were!! Room was very nice and comfortable. The only gripe I have is the WiFi was horrible. Too slow and kept knocking me off, still everything else was good, even the decaf coffee in the room was good. Breakfast was good too, lady taking care of the breakfast area was on top of everything, if it was low, she was filling it up. Nice place to stay
