When we drove up to the resort/inn we were immediately disappointed. The outside looked dated and the property looked like a Motel 6.
if we hadn’t paid up front I would have looked for somewhere else to stay.
The staff were friendly that’s the only positive I can give from this experience.
We were assigned room 209. Second floor, no elevator. My sister had knee surgery and had difficulty climbing the stairs. We talked about going an asking for a room on first floor but didn’t want to be on 1st floor because all rooms were facing the outside and that didn’t feel safe.
When we entered the room there was the same disappointment. The room smelled musty, the furniture was chipped. Looked like there were no updates in years.
The ocean view room was directly above us the pool and you could look right across and directly into the restaurant, meaning we had to keep the curtains closed so people could not see in. Also the windows didn’t open anyway to allow fresh air or listen to the ocean waves.
We were in town for a three day conference and thank God our stay was only 2 nights.
I pulled up the inn on line and relooked at the photos and the description of the inn. Nothing in the description prepared us for what we found. The was a resort fee and a 16.00 daily “house keeping fee” . Housekeeping came in while we were out and emptied a trash bin, did not even go into the bathroom to check and empty the second bin.
We were were disappointed and will not be recommending this inn to anyone
