We’ve stayed at this property multiple times. Convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms and great price. This trip a bomb cyclone hit the NW and we ended up snowed in and had to stay and extra night. No restaurants in town were open. Downside of hotel was no food available and room doesn’t have comfortable sitting area when one has to stay inside all day. Hard to watch tv all day in bed. Staff was very helpful about keeping current info on road conditions etc. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed here one night on way down to LA. The hotel property looks dated upon arrival and it is a basic stay but totally ok for a night. The bed we had was very uncomfortable. Everything else is ok. Breakfast is a grab bag from reception which has a piece of fruit and a pastry. Coffee available in reception. Bonus if you are driving a Tesla is the Tesla Destination charger which is free to use.

OK spot to overnight on the way from Seattle to LA. Not amazing but a nice place to stay. Exactly what I expected for the price. Restaurant / bar was closed and was hoping we could just stay at the motel but went back to town (short driver) and Pipeline brewhouse was great!

Wondering place to land
It was well run with a staff that you could tell enjoyed working together. There was no room service but there is an excellent fine dining bar and restaurant and there is a small discount for hotel guests. I checked in and immediately booked an extra day.

We arrived at the property around 11:30pm and saw that the lobby was closed and had a small moment of panic but then saw directions for after hours checkin. Getting the keys to our room was super easy. The room had 2 queens but still felt spacious, the bathroom was very clean and the area around the hotel was quiet. The hotel offered a free bagged breakfast of a granola bar, yogurt and bear claw. I would definitely return.

On repeat
We try to get to the area at least yearly and the Shasta Inn never disappoints. The rooms are always clean and well maintained and the restaurant always has fresh and innovative fare. The craft cocktails are a must! Lots of wonderful places to see are within walking distance of this wonderful property.

My room was a single queen and had enough space for my stuff and a road bike. The room was clean and didn’t have that “we’re covering up something” smell. The only downside was that there wasn’t anywhere to put toiletries. I figured it out so wasn’t an issue. Single queen rooms would not work for 2 people - perfect for one person. The restaurant was great. Great people and really good food.

Very enjoyable older property that's clean and comfortable, with cool table lamps! In the fall the numerous oak trees drop acorns which can be a little noisy but I didn’t mind. It added to the woodsy ambiance.
