The hotel just needs a facelift. The ice machines and soda machines need to be fixed. The elevators are showing their age as well. The staff is always very cordial and do a great job, which is why I overlook the small things and stay here whenever in Morehead City!

Very quiet. Nice sized room with lovely water view as offered by the very courteous check-in lady. Nice fresh chocolate chip cookie served upon check-in added a nice touch! Ice and drink machine located conveniently down the hall was helpful too.

The property is older and could use some updates however it was clean and the staff was good. There was a steak restaurant right outside the hotel but it was pricey. We drove about ten minutes to Olive garden which was pretty good. The breakfast was so-so, continental type not really what I cared for but I did have oatmeal, toast and coffee my husband ate the breakfast and he seemed to like it. Plenty of free coffee and bottle water. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were way to soft although the room on the top floor was very quiet and we had a view of the water.

Hotel Needs Upgrade
Check-in process was efficient and timely. But room needs repairs and upgrades. Bathtub seal leaked into ceiling of fitness room located on floor below. Toilet flushed inconsistently sometimes running on after being flushed and curtains covering window were damaged with rips. Maintenance rep. came to room to review bathtub and toilet bowl issues. Bed, refrigerator and microwave worked fine and general cleaniness of room was okay from cleaning staff.

I feel the bushes are overgrown and are too tall. For example the water view is not very visible from the backside of the lobby. Bushes appear to take over the landscape.

Not the best stay.
We’ve stayed at this Hampton Inn a few times. The service was decent but the rooms need help! Shower was old and moldy. Sheer curtains were ripped and stained in both of our rooms. Beds were old and noisy. Had a mattress pad for a sheet. Disappointing for a Hampton for sure.

Good stay
Hotel was neat, clean and check in was easy. Friendly staff. Felt bad for the girl at the desk in the morning who had to listen to a customer complaint for 10 minutes. She handled it well. Breakfast was good, I slept well, etc. I would stay here again.
