The Faubourg Montreal is a great property for families and guests with pets. It is a spacious hotel/apartment style property close to Old Montreal/Chinatown. The unit we had was a great size with a King bed but the heater was turned up so high as soon as we entered the room so we had to adjust the temperature right away and turn on the AC to cool it down. It was clean however, because pets are allowed, there was a faint "dog smell" coming from either the carpet or furniture. It would help if upon cleaning, a carpet powder or sanitizing spray be used to boost the cleanliness. The one thing we were not aware of was that the hot water tank is kept in the bedroom so hot water is limited, if someone uses it for a hot shower the next person has no hot water and has to wait approx. 2 hrs to replenish. The buffet was ok, extremely busy if you go at 8am onwards. The price was very reasonable but the location was a little further from Old Montreal, lots of options in the area and we would not consider some place any further than the Faubourg. Would we stay again? Perhaps but definitely not during Winter months. Great basic property if you are on a budget and need larger space for a family and/or group.

Our stay at the this hotel was wonderful!!! We wanted to add an extra night to our stay and they were so helpful with this, making accommodations for us and allowing us to stay in the same room for the extra night! Parking was easy and you could get in and out any time which was amazing! The only thing I wish was better about the stay was breakfast. It was only available from 6:30-9:30am and so it was inconvenient to make it there on time. When we did make it there on time, the quality of the breakfast wasn't the best. Overall, a wonderful stay and would come again!

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend, we were from out of the country and loved this hotel. It’s not far from the downtown area and many places were walkable. Check in and check out we’re easy, finding the parking garage was a little hard but they were very nice and helped us no problem.

One Night in YUL
Our room was massive. Really no complaints it was clean. Had a nice kitchenette but didn’t need it. Beds were super comfy. My only complaints is that the bathroom floors are dated hence didn’t look the best so I put a few extra towels on the floor. Did not love the area though. Front staff super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent. Scrambled eggs and bacon baked beans ( yummy) and breads.oh let’s not forget the Montreal Bagels! All in all a short stay but was good.

The rooms are spacious and great for pet owners. Staff are polite and helpful, and love pets. The breakfasts are substantial but mediocre. The area is sketchy, especially the side streets. I wouldn't recommend walking alone. Also, Expedia & the hotel are inflexible regarding small reservation adjustments. Regardless i would stay again. It is in a convenient location and their pet friendly status is a great pull!
