Pack Creek ~ Road House | 2 Bed, 2 Bath

The Pack Creek Road House is one of the most beautifully redone cabins that Moab has to offer. Located in Pack Creek, about 20 minutes from downtown Moab, you’ll feel refreshed from the mountain air at the base of the La Sal mountains. This 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin has views of the mountains in nearly every room thanks to the big windows. *Please note that due to safety concerns the fireplace is not available for guest use. There is a great standing fire pit on the back patio for guest use.

The famous Abbey Cabin is just a couple of steps outside of the home, giving the Roadhouse a total of 3 bedrooms. This is the site where Edward Abbey wrote several of his pieces. Now fully remodeled, it serves as an additional sleeping area with a new queen sleeper sofa.

You’re going to want this kitchen in your own home! It’s bright and airy, has a farmhouse sink, wood countertops, a great window, and cute light fixtures. It has all the supplies necessary to make a large meal.

The dining area and living room are combined. You’ll want to sit all day looking at your views and admiring the intricacies this home has to offer, like the beautiful wood ceiling, furniture, and so much more. If you want to connect back to the world, then you will be happy to have a Smart TV and wifi. Cell reception is a little dodgy out at Pack Creek.

Both bedrooms have queen size beds and will serve as perfect retreats after a day of swimming at the community pool (traditionally open Memorial Day until Labor Day but subject to change) will help you cool off in summer and fall., dipping in the hot tub or detoxing in the sauna-- you’ll be ready to hike miles after the sauna!

Soak up some sun in the hammock on the back deck, or enjoy the scenery while barbequing on the propane grill.
There is quite a bit of wildlife out at Pack Creek including adorable goats.

Please note that there is no trailer parking at this unit as it on the main road. Trailers must be parked in the designated area for Pack Creek Ranch: the Boneyard.

No pets are allowed in this unit. If you’d like to bring a pet with you, please inquire about Moab Lodging Vacation Rentals' wide variety of pet-friendly options.

Quiet spot to stay in Moab
This cabin was a nice place to relax away from the bustle of Moab…but still within close proximity to the city & surrounding areas to explore.

Moab Spring Break 2023
The Road House Cabin was quaint, quiet, and off the beaten path, but still a short drive into downtown Moab, Arches, and a little further to Canyonlands. The cabin was well appointed, clean, and cozy, a great that was appreciated even more in the cold weather we had

Lovely Cabin but Unresponsive Management
The cabin itself if wonderful and in a very lovely location about 15 mi outside of Moab (via scenic drive). It was well furnished, warm & cozy, had all amenities, comfortable beds, & good WiFi. Down side: it is difficult to find if you arrive at night as it's VERY dark & the individual cabins are not lighted well enough to see the address or name of cabin. Also the lock box is high up on the side cabin wall to left of front door so challenging to find at night. Moab Lodging Co needs to provide better arrival/check-in info AND they need to respond promptly if there is an issue. When we arrived we had no cell service & couldn't reach anyone to help us w/ the lock box - didn't hear from them till next day! Also called about missing kitchen utensils & never got a response. Despite the mgmt. issues, we loved the cabin, it's unique character & staying in such a lovely location.

Desert Solitude
The cabin was the perfect location for our covid-roadtrip! We enjoyed the peacefulness of the ranch and all the amenities. The sunsets were gorgeous. We had everything we needed for our family of 5 to be comfortable. Only suggestion would be to update the listing to say charcoal grill not gas grill —we arrived late on the first night with the i tent to grill dinner but didn’t have briquettes. We figured it out and grabbed briquettes in town the next day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful canin with our family!

In spite of a few glitches
Stayed 10/13-10/15/2018 Arrived at dusk pretty tired from a day of hiking. Difficulty finding our cabin with only info on reservation form. Did meet a few neighbors while searching:) A map of the units would have been helpful. Called office and given directions. Then code wouldn't work. Called back again-answering machine. Agent called back promptly . Said we were given wrong code. Appreciated him staying on phone until he was sure we were in. Loved the place. Loved the views and area. House very spacious. Well furnished. Kitchen great. Had two wonderful nights. Would definitely stay again.

A quaint cabin in a serene setting with a beautiful view.
My daughter and I recently stayed in the Road House at Pack Creek, and had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and very charming. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is very welled stocked with a variety of pots, pans, utensils, and lots of left over spices from previous guests. After long day hikes in Arches and Canyonland, and Dead Horse State Park, we would relax on the back deck and watch the goats grazing in the large meadow that backs up to the cabin. After dinner, we would watch the magnificent sunset fade behind the mountains. On our last day there, we decided to take a break from hiking and just relax by the pool. If I had to have one negative comment about the place, it would be about the pool, because it had lots of bugs and leaves floating around. Because there was no lifeguard or attendant, my daughter and I took turns skimming them out with the net. I have a pool at home, so it was no big deal and between the two of us, it only took about five minutes, before we were able to enjoy the refreshing water. There is also a spa, but my daughter and I did not indulge ourselves. My only regret about staying in the Road House, is that my other family members were not able to join us! The next time I come to Moab, I will book one of the bigger cabins, so they too, will experience the wonderful time my daughter and I spent here. I have lived in San Francisco, but I left my heart in the Road House at Pack Creek!

peaceful, quiet, serene
Very nice place. House was smaller than pictures made it seem, but worked well for two couples. Disappointed in the open fire burn ban, one of the reasons we rented Road house. Nice to be away from noise of others and traffic. We did wish the light over the dining table was brighter for playing cards and even eating. But overall, very nice and plan to return and stay again if possible.

What a great place! We are so happy we stayed here.
This is such a cute place to stay. It is tucked up at the start of the La Sal mountains so it is cooler than Moab but yet close to Canyonlands and The Arches. Every night we made a point of watching the sunset on the front porch. The pictures are accurate, it really is that adorable. In the pasture in back are a small herd of goats and a village of praire dogs, very fun to watch. Should we ever revisit the area we will stay here again without a doubt. Thanks for a great vacation!
