Comfortable Condo, Great location
The Good: The condo was the perfect size for a family of four. The bed’s were surprisingly comfortable and everything was very clean. We felt safe there. We loved the balcony overlooking the ocean, the pools are really nice, and the location is walkable to restaurants and a surf shop. Beach accessibility was also great. The complex is well known so uber drivers a grocery delivery found us very easily.
The not so great: when we arrived we were texted a code for the front door keypad. The code didnt work. The office was supposed to be open until 5pm, but I called repeatedly at 4:30 with no answer. I called the emergency line, the maintenance line, the golf pro shop, and went and talked to the guard shack at the entrance of the property and either no one could help us or no one answered the phone. We tried for an hour and a half before we finally got ahold of someone and they were able to give us a new code. I don't really consider it an emergency line if you have to leave a message and wait 90 minutes for a response.
There is also lack of communication on how beach service works. While beach service is included in the rental, you have to go down to the La Dolce Vita beach huts every day to reserve a chair. They don't open until 9a. If you aren't in line by 7:50am you will get an umbrella in the 2nd or 3rd row and you cant even see the water. One day we even reserved in advance and prepaid online thinking we wouldn't have to stand in line for an hour so we didn't go down to claim our umbrella until later - we still got 3rd row because we didnt go stand in the morning line. There are also 3 La Dolce Vita huts and they aren't clearly marked which one is for which service. One morning I stood in line for an hour only to be told I was in the wrong line, so I had to go stand in another line for another 30 minutes. There has got to be a better way to do this! Luckily, all of the kids working for La Dolce Vita are super sweet and helpful, its not their fault the system sucks. While all of this is mostly a La Dolce Vita problem, I wish Seascape had clearer instructions upon arrival of how it all works so you don't waste half the morning trying to figure it out.
Overall it was a lovely stay with just a few minor inconveniences.
