The girl who checked us in was terrific. Her name started with an M. She checked us in and gave us information on where to find a farmacia as the airline lost ALL our luggage. Next evening she helped me try to call around and locate our luggage. 😀

For the pruce this is a really good hotel- clean and modern, the breakfast is pretty good. The matresses are a bit too cheap and soft and the area can be quite noisy at night are the only draw backs.

Weird stay
On a map the hotel was in a good location, but in reality the area is not great. Technically it’s convenient to Milano Centrale but you’ll walk though some pretty jacked up streets to get there. Interior of the hotel was fine, the room itself small and the shower wasn’t great. Bed wasn’t a real mattress but maybe a 2-3 inch foam pad on top of a base and very narrow. Was nice that they had a bar/restaurant but food wasn’t great and drink choices were mediocre. For the price I guess we got what we paid for but I’d look for something else next time.

OK for a quick stay.
I’ve stayed in Ibis Hotels before, but this one seems to be more basic than others, and has the decor (large black n white prints on doors), and feel, of a Backpackers Hostel. Staff were friendly and polite. t’s a really big hotel, the restaurant closes early and the only food available was a small lasagna for 14 euros. Room was small and clean (some lipstick smudges on the bedroom floor), but adequate, there was a large TV and a silly very large black photo painting on the wall that looked like a child’s scribble and was in the way when trying to get into bed. A little further from main train station, than many other hotels, and the area around has homeless people, so doesn’t feel so safe, ( for a woman), at night. There’s a security man on the door. Otherwise, average and clean.

My husband, teenage son and I stayed in the ibis milano centrale for 2 nights at the end of a 9 night trip to Italy. The location was handy for us as we were coming from Florence by train. The room was clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would happily stay there again.
