Food is cold, there is a electric pot but no coffee or tea, no microwave, no phone to call the front desk, reception area has no AC. The room smells different.
The staff weren't nice and friendly. Felt unsafe too. During my stay in the hotel, my daughter had to send me meals. She passed them to the security guard on duty. One time, while she was parking her car, a random hotel staff approached our vehicle and tried on many attempts to open the car doors. The staff went back to the hotel without a word. Luckily, the doors were locked. My daughter was so terrified. During this pandemic, we cannot eliminate the dangers that people can do to extort money and do harm.
When my daughter passed the meals to the security guard as she raised the issue. The random woman who tried to open the car doors was inside the lobby, she said that we mistakenly thought the my daughter was her ride home. The hotel staff did not even apologize for the incident.
Hotel is very homely, food was just average but service is spectacular! Quarantined in this hotel and it doesn't feel suffocating at all. Value for money is definite. Giving two thumbs up for my parent's stay at Zen.
The hotel is nowhere near the Eastwood complex. It's in a dark, bottom of a fly-over road with no nearby convenience store. It has 3 walking floors with hot and humid hallways and the loft room have a very poor air conditioning with very low ceiling. The bed is so uncomfortable and the side table lamps have chipped and broken shades. This property is a must stay away from.
It was a good stay, except for the part I expected to have breakfast included in my booking. I don't know what went wrong but I know that I have included it when I was booking online. So I was really disappointed that I had to buy breakfast outside.
Overall, the stay was pleasant. The service was fast. We just had two main concerns: our shower heater was defective; pillow cases were dusty (seemingly, pillowcases were not changed before we came in) - good thing, though, the housekeeping staff immediately replaced all our pillows with clean ones.
Thumbs up to the friendly and fast-acting staff from the security guards, to the front desk, and housekeeping staff.
