This quaint studio, 1 bathroom is the perfect spot for your Mammoth getaway…Winter or Summer and is in one of the best locations! The home has been updated with slate tile throughout the entrance, bathroom and kitchen, new mattresses and TVs. Cozy up in the living area around the gas fireplace and relax watching a movie on the 60" flatscreen SmartTV. The kitchenette features a full-size fridge, stovetop, microwave, and oven (please note: The home does NOT have a dishwasher). There is even a small private gas grill on the balcony so you can cook at home, or walk down the block and dine out at The Village. The full bathroom has also been updated with a jet tub and features a shower/tub combo with an additional separate vanity area for use while the bathroom is occupied. There is a Queen bed in the living area as well as a pull-out sofabed. Ground level entrance makes this home easily accessible. This unit sleeps a maximum of 4 people, no pets and no smoking. Conveniently located across the street from a shuttle stop to take you into town and local restaurants. Just a few steps away from the complex amenities were you can sit and make memories with your friends and loved ones. The home comes with two outdoor unassigned parking spaces. The Mammoth Estates complex is conveniently located one block to The Village and entrance to the Village Gondola. Stay close to all the action in The Village without the hustle and bustle. The complex offers outdoor parking, a year-round hot tub, sauna, pool (Summer only), public gas grill, recreation room, and laundry facilities. As advertised. Great location close to village and gondola. Not quite close enough to wear ski boots to the gondola for me, but very convenient.

Quite a few long-standing problems still not corrected.
We read prior reviews, some a year or more old, and hoped that issues had been resolved by now. They hadn’t. The bed is still exactly as many others have reported it. Sunken in the center and squeakier than a summer camp metal cot. The bathroom has been remodeled and is quite lovely, but there is little point in having a jetted tub and rain shower fixture with only 5 minutes of hot water. Initial day of stay the management dutifully advised that the refrigerator had stopped working. It couldn’t be repaired during our stay. They provided a mini fridge which smelled horrible (closed up in storage likely). We ended up leaving a day early. When I called to advise them of our early departure they stated “we will let housekeeping know.” That didn’t sound much like “sorry”. I don’t know if the place is owned by the management company or a private owner but someone needs to make some basic investment to maintain this place. And add a microwave. And fix the mini blinds. And figure out why the TV’s do not show full screen images (I’m a techie guy and couldn’t fix that.). Some basic attention to detail - and addressing issues that reviewers have noted for a LONG time - is pretty simple.

December Ski Trip
Positive: I was very impressed with the location, the price point and the short walk to the Village. I also appreciated that it was located on the first floor and there was a mud room inside the condo. Parking access was easy. Negative: The condo was dirty (there was a moldy coffee filter and grounds in the coffee machine among other dirty things). The other primary negative was the check in process. Usually when a mgmt company requires you to go to their office, it is because you have to pick up a key instead of accessing the property with a pin code. However, in this case you had to drop by the office at check in and at check out only to pick up and drop off the parking pass. There was still a pin code to access the unit. This is an unnecessary and inconvenient additional step. I would suggest leaving the parking pass in a basket on the counter like most owners and mgmt companies. There was also no dishwasher. Since it is your responsibility to clean the dishes, it is difficult to do it effectively without a dishwasher or drying rack. I would recommend cleaning everything again before you use it. The bed was in very poor condition, and it squeaked loudly every time you would move. The mattress sloped in the center. I would not pursue staying here again. There are better places that are walking distance to the Village for the same price point.
