This property looked very nice in the pictures. I guess I am not used to NYC hotels. While the entry and lobby was very open, the stairway and hallways were very narrow (around 3' wide). I checked in around 11 pm. There is plenty of street parking, but it was all taken. I circled a 2 block radius for 30 minutes before I went in a paid $25 for a reserved space. The room was small, but nice. A little floor heater had the room toasty. I had to turn it way down, but it worked well. Bedtime, then it starts: every couple of minutes drunk and / or rude people would end up in the hallway talking loud or yelling at someone. That kept waking me up for a couple of hours. I was there late and left early, but I did not see any dining options other than the hotel restaurant that was open from 3p to 10p. The hotel itself was passable for what I needed. I needed a room where guests were more respectful.

Worst hotel I’ve ever been to
Rundown, loud, sketchy, uncomfortable…I could go on and on. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. I left early after the first night and never returned, because my kids and I barely slept with all of the noise and the flood lights coming in the windows. The curtains, if you can even call them that, were not the right size and didn’t cover the windows and weren’t even blackout curtains. Despite the photos I submitted and my complaints, they refused to refund the money for the second night that we didn’t stay there. I would avoid staying here if you are looking for comfort, safety and have kids. This is fine for those looking for a cheap beach vacation and don’t care about the condition. The first 2 photos of the windows were taken around 11:30pm and stayed on until the sun came up, shown in the “brightest” photo which was taken at 6am after not sleeping all night.

Do not stay here if you have any luggage. We parked right outside the front door like I always do at any hotel when I first checked in. I went inside, gave my ID and credit card and asked the front clerk where I should park our car. He told me that there is no parking available (the information that hotel shows about parking availability is wrong - don't be deceived!) so I was told to drive around the block to find an street parking spot. When we went outside, our car had a parking citation attached on the front window. The fine was about $50. According to the timestamp our car was parked there less than 10 minutes. I asked the hotel clerk if they could help us requesting for probation or any kind of waiver, but hotel clerks was completely unhelpful. At this hotel, when you check in/out, you will need to street park your car even just to check in. The available spot could be far from the hotel, so if you are carrying any language, you will not be able to stay at this hotel. Stay here only if you are not bringing anything with you and you are fine with parking somewhere a far from the hotel and walk just to check in/out. The A/C on this hotel uses windows mounted A/C unit. This requires the window to be opened so you can literally hear people walking on the street. When we were staying, there were people literally yelling and talking really loud and we couldn't not sleep until late and we were woken up by people talking loud outside in the morning. Bring your eyeplugs.

A bad experience, the bathroom was easily clogged, a very small room and there was no water to drink in the hotel, neither in the room nor in the lobby, apart from the noise of other people that could be heard loudly in the hallway and next door of the room

Huge disappointment! Room so small, there wasn’t room for a chair or nightstand. Noisy window AC. Clean, but everything kind of worn and cheap. Noisy… could hear conversations from other rooms via the vents. Not even a tissue or cup/glass. Large part of hotel occupied by “long term” residents. Never again!

The elevator was not in service. You had to carry your luggage up to the third floor. The worker at the front desk was very accommodating and changed my room to the other side of the hotel where there was a working elevator. The rooms are very small, and you can hear everything being said and done in the next-door rooms and hallway. Very noisy all night. TV didn't work.

Contrary to other reviews the Long Beach Hotel delivers on a great mixture of comfort and price. Located in an expensive hotel market due to its proximity to JFK the LBH tries its best to accommodate consumers of all varieties. While the rooms may or may not be temperature regulated due to the fluctuations in weather at the moment it’s still a relaxing stay that I would recommend to anyone.
