It’s all about the staff! Everyone is friendly, warm, personable and professional. The daily cooked to order breakfast is much better than the typical $50 buffet at most hotels. They really make an effort to ensure you are happy and comfortable. We mentioned to Christopher the restaurant manager (sorry if I misspelled your name) that we were going on a tour after an early breakfast. He had some sandwiches and pastries packed for us to take. Nuno the guest services manager always greeted us with a big smile. I had an issue with my iPhone (apple does not have a store in Lisbon) and he immediately directed me to some apple certified repair locations. On our last night he found out we were going to Porto by train, informed us of a rail strike helped purchase bus tickets and even got a full refund on promotional fare tickets (normally no changes allowed or refunds). The room was large, quiet and bed was great. Nightly turn down service was nice too. Mini fridge (free) refilled daily. Only hotel I have been that offers free snacks (soft serve ice cream machine) and drinks. The offer guest free tours (too busy to take). Location is perfect. Only minutes to the river, time out market and commerce square). All the convenience without crowds and noise. No brainer when you go to Lisbon!
