I truly wish I could have given this hotel 5 stars across the board but instead, I have to be objective because Hawaii is an expensive trip regardless of your circumstances and people will save their entire lives to make the journey. I ultimately decided to give a 4 star rating because the property is nice. It's what the middle class expects. The staff is polite, the grounds are well kept and the rooms are well appointed with coffee machines, microwave ovens and a mini fridge. Nothing super fancy, just nice. So what happened to that fifth star? Well, sometimes, despite your best efforts, things go wrong. To their credit, the staff did everything humanly possible to accommodate me short of a remedy to the insect issue in my room but it was too little too late. I'm hopeful that they remedy that issue so that other travelers don't have a similar experience but having read an earlier review that reported this issue, all bets are off. For me, Hawaii was a once in a lifetime trip. I won't be returning. I'll very quickly forget about why I took off one star and instead just look at the amazing pictures I took and tell increasingly inaccurate stories of how wonderful my trip was. If asked, I'll probably even tell my friends they should stay at this hotel.

Food was good for breakfast although 20.00 for just pancakes no sides kind of pricy. Room was very mist we had to empty a dehumidifier twice and we were only there overnight. had a ocean view room but couldnt see out it because of all the humidity on the window. Lets talk parking resort fees. so we arrived 8:00 pm checkout was Was 10 25.00 to park after paying so much for room, ridiculous. we had to park on opposite side of hotel where im guessing employees park back by dumpsters and walk up hill with our suite cases ? no help then down stairs to get to our room. There should not be additional fees . They did remove prking fee after i complained .

We were disappointed. We thought we had a balcony, but there weren't any, so you are just stuck in the room. The water is quite a way from the hotel and there is a large park between the hotel and the water. It is a pretty park, but this also blocked the view. The room was ok. The service for breakfast was really slow. They didn't have enough staff and the ones they had weren't all that friendly.

Just stayed the night as I arrived late. Spacious room with microwave and fridge and keurig coffee machine. Carpets throughout the hotel look tired and need replacing or removing. On thing to note is that Hawaiian music playing all the time outside.

Very beautiful and spacious hotel with large rooms and lot of moving space. The staff is courteous and works diligently to fulfill all customer needs. Great proximity to the beach and some rooms have the view as well!

The only thing that we didn’t like was the property didn’t have a safe for valuables. Carpet in room was stained in spots and the shower was a little slippery for elders. Otherwise the property was beautiful. Lobby was great and the food was excellent.

The only issue was the air conditioner or humidity control was odd. Everyting always felt damp and we come from a very humid location (Houston, TX). Staff was excellent, welcoming and kind. They surprised us with a bottle of champagne and dessert in our room when they learned we were celebrating our anniversary.
