It's busy

I didn't love it but it's not necessarily the fault of GWL. I was doing something in the area so my wife and I stayed strictly for the hotel room itself. There's just a LOT of people there at any one time. A LOT of activity. A LOT of noise. But that's what that place is for. If you're there with a family, it's almost certainly great. Check out is a lot faster and easier than check-in. And to charge $15 a day to park in what is essentially a giant lot is just a money-grab. What I can say on a positive note is that the rooms were a good size, they were clean, and we had a couple drinks at the bar and they were quite good.

Such shady practices. Overpriced and overhyped. My husband went to get drinks as part of our meal and you have 15 seconds to fill your drink and he got cut off after 7. They do not disclose they will charge you a month later for their “resort fees” which they did today 9/6 after we stayed 7/22! They don’t care about customers just making money.

Facilities were great, however paying $15 a day to park is excessive as is having to pay for anything not tied to the water park and these fees add up quickly. Food options aren’t that great and expensive.

This trip met our expectations, which is great for a first time, but we would have liked more dining options. The dinner buffet was expensive for what was available. Our lunch server at the Pub, Maddy (I believe?), was lovely. We also arrived at the Lodge early...so nice that you are welcome to enjoy facilities before check-in at 4! Notably kind staff. Very clean rooms and facilities. Pleasant entertainment for kids outside of the waterpark zones.

Honestly not sure why they allow thousands of hair ties to pile up around the edges of the water park windows. It was sold out. Took the stairs alot. Our room was extremely dusty and hair in bathroom. Overall its pretty expensive so plan ahead

We had a great time. Both sides of the park offered lots to do for my family of 4. The hotel room was not as clean as expected. Soap suds crusted into the hook in the bathroom, stained carpets and the tables had paint and sparkles all over them, I suppose for a family resort this may be expected by some. The park seemed sufficiently clean, we noticed a lot of hair ties and various trash that people had clearly thrown over the steps. Very sad to see, but probably difficult to clean.

Extremely overpriced! Money pit for parents. Went in January and April. Temperature of water in the water park was too cold, around 77. Not comfortable for what we paid!
