Accommodation in the San Cristóbal Marinero District, “La Ventana” of San Cristóbal, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is located at the entrance of the city, entering the southern road. Located in front of the ocean a few meters from the Castle. It is the only important fishing port on the island, in addition to housing the historic Castillo de San Pedro Mártir, known as Castillo de San Cristóbal.
It is made up of a nucleus of more or less uniform houses, a few meters from the sea. Direct access to the sea and the promenade. An avenue with its promenade, a port dating back to 1980 and friendly people. That is the neighborhood of San Cristóbal, which already has more than 150 years. In a very quiet neighborhood the apartment "La Ventana" is located where you can breathe fresh air overlooking the sea, you feel the sea breeze and the relaxing sound of the waves. Where I could take a walk along its maritime avenue that covers the 980 meters that the neighborhood has and communicates with the avenue of the city (with more than 7 km of travel). It is ideal to go with children and have lunch in its bars, have a variety of restaurants, or enjoy a good dinner highlighting the fresh fish of the area, in such a particular neighborhood. It has a stone beach and a small sandy beach.
The apartment has a BEDROOM (two single beds 80x190 cm) with DRESSER, bathroom (with hairdryer and necessary utensils). CUARTO-LAUNDRY (washing machine, iron and cleaning products). KITCHEN EQUIPPED. Living room with a sofa bed (85x190 cm open 190x130 cm) and TELEVISION. It includes FREE WIFI. We have a crib and highchair park if necessary.
San Cristóbal remains a benchmark in the capital, not only for fishing. Nowadays it also stands out for its picturesque, traditional and simple appearance.
Perfect area for SURF lovers.
5 minutes walk from the hospital complex (Insular and Maternal hospital)
The neighborhood retains the flavor of yesteryear. Your cozy image. That of a point on the coast of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, something with its back to the city, which unintentionally invites the visitor to enter its personal universe. A place without borders to stop for a while, to breathe, to enjoy the simple dawn.
Among the different options, one of the most recommended is to walk the Maritime Avenue of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on foot. It is a long walk that begins at the Santa Catalina Pier (a few minutes from the famous Las Canteras beach), reaches the Playa de las Alcaravaneras and the Muelle Deportivo, crosses the historic neighborhood of Vegueta and continues to the peculiar neighborhood San Cristóbal sailor and later on to La Laja Beach (where you can also enjoy its natural pools), the limit by the south of the city.
It is 7 kilometers to enjoy the landscape of the sea and unique buildings located on the first urban line. Any day is conducive to observe the ships anchored in the bay or attend as spectators the Latin Sailing regattas that are held when trade winds are conducive.
It is advisable to visit the natural pools of La Laja a few minutes from the San Cristóbal fishing district.
