For whatever reason my bathroom spelled horrible. It smelled like a mix of vomit and urine. I had housekeeping mop hoping that would help but, after the moping liquid dried it smelled horrible again. Another issue was the fire alarms went off for 30 minutes or more before ever asking us to evacuate. By the time they announced the evacuation the bottom floor was smokey. Unsafe!!!

The staff at the Golden Nugget are great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a nice size. We had 2 rooms booked - one for my husband and I and one for our daughter and soon to be son-in-law. Unfortunately, the rooms are very overpriced for the dated and worn-out condition they are in. Our room was not very clean - black mold on the shower door was unsightly and concerning. The wall in the water closet looked like it had been kicked in and poorly repaired, as well as a spot outside the shower. Maybe water damage? There was a cute 2-seat booth in the room but it was stained and filthy so we never sat there. If a hotel wants to charge premium prices for a room, they should offer premium facilities. In addition, our room had a musty, unpleasant odor that seemed to be blowing in from the a/c. Come on, Golden Nugget - you know you can do better.
