We stayed in a beachfront 1st floor king bed suite. It was clean and beautiful. Neighbors were quiet. Heat worked great and even though we went in offseason it was still beautiful to walk the beach. Check in and out was easy. Breakfast included was good. If I had any recommendations it would be for them to have scrambled eggs as an option for breakfast. They have hard boiled eggs but they needed to be microwaved because I don’t eat them cold. Otherwise it was microwave breakfast sandwiches (I also don’t eat).

We would stay here again!

We loved our rooms at John Yancey! They were spacious and included a microwave and small refrigerator. The beds were quite comfortable. The continental breakfast was wonderful, offering juice, coffee, yogurt, bagels, toast, fruit, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal and more. The only problem we encountered was trying to get hot water. In the case of my room, it turns out the plumber who had recently serviced it had reversed the hot and cold water - so no matter how long I let the "hot" water run, I could not get hot water. In the case of my husband's room, he gave up trying to get hot water after letting it run for several minutes. It turns out that because we visited in the winter, during an especially cold spell and with very few other guests in the hotel, we needed to let the water run at least 10 minutes to allow the hot water to get through the pipes to us. Apparently this is not an issue when there is high occupancy in the hotel. The staff at the hotel were wonderful!

Love John Yancey Oceanfront Inn

It was EXCELLENT! The staff is kind and friendly and very accommodating! We had an issue shortly after checking in, and they took care of it immediately. We were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The rooms are absolutely adorable!

The staff was very helpful,sending someone to fix the tv and helping us with passes to the Y. Breakfast was okay, heavy with high calorie items but there was some fruit and hard boiled eggs. The room was very clean and was serviced daily. The view from our third floor room of the ocean was lovely. While there were no open eating places within walking distance, it was close to numerous dining spots.

A once great hotel sadly is not anymore

Really going downhill. Uncomfortable bed. Bathroom needs major repair. Zero customer service - staff didn’t care. Breakfast room in the mornings out of food/coffee. Overall poor experience with no resolutions by staff.
