Upon arrival we were told that my hotels.com reservation would not be honored. They only had one name on the reservation and I had booked 2 seperate rooms.
Somehow only my reservation was still on hold but it was a different room. Luckily it was 2 double beds instead of 2 seperate only king bedrooms.
Not sure what was charged, but I would like a refund our credit on hotels.com for the aggrevation and embarrassment that I experienced.
All of the staff were great and I had no problems checking in or out. My room and all public areas were clean, but I noticed a strange smell as soon as I stepped off the elevator and in my room. I feel like the hotel should invest in something to make the rooms and hallways more pleasant smelling. I rarely note the smell of a place but this was very distinct. The morning of check out there was also clearly an issue with the fire alarms, which no one really addressed.
Overall the stay was just OK.
The room was clean and well equipped. The only thing not working as expected in the room was the sink stopper was broken.
The free breakfast was mediocre.
The front desk was understaffed but when you finally got attention it was good.
The lobby microwave that I used to heat up my cold out of the pot coffee was a biohazard. It needs a good cleaning.
The next time I visit this town I will probably try a different hotel.
Carpet was nasty and sticky. Breakfast area out of condiments for oatmeal x 3 days. Night clerk sleeps at desk. Day manager wears wrinkled and dirty looking shirts
