When we showed up with our four person party we were told that they had overbooked the room that we had booked so they put us into a room with a queen and a twin sofa bed, no discussion or reimbursement. Aside from being given the run around and a room that did less sleeping space than our reserved room, the rooms were nice and the grounds were excellent.

Visually it's everything you would want. But it was hot when we were there and there is no air conditioning nor a refrigerator in your room. The only option is to have the windows open with the shades up. Who wants to lay there with everyone walking by looking at you. There was a box fan but even on low it sounded like a 747. The breakfast room was wonderful with great food and friendly staff in a rustic log cabin design. From my seat I could see the Tetons. We chose this hotel trying to escape the outrageous hotel prices of Jackson. Jackson is now Branson on steroids!

Great place for any Grand Teton visitor

My room and the shared bathroom were very clean, and things were quiet during my stay. There on-site restaurant and shop were convenient and let me focus on enjoying the parks!

We used Hatchet Resort as our base for accessing Grand Teton NP. Hatchet is approximately 30 mins drive to the NP. The drive afforded us great views of the Tetons as well as opportunities to see black bears, bison and prong horns. The resort has a motel setup away from the road. Parking is outside your front door and the log construction of the rooms helps to keep them cool although there is a lack of natural light. The room we had did not have air conditioning or a fridge however a fan was provided and an excellent ice machine was easily accessible. We used the second bed to store our luggage as storage space was limited. We ate at the restaurant on all three nights of our stay and the food was excellent whilst the servers were accommodating and personable.

Great but too many mosquitoes to enjoy

Wonderful property with everything you could need but the bugs are thick, even in the room. We killed mosquitoes the entire time. Love feeling the outdoors & roughing it BUT once we close the door to our room don’t want to feel it all night while sleeping & showering. Comfy bed but only one flat pillow for each. It was older & dark & our power was flickering in the bathroom. We got 2 rooms, one for my aunt & uncle which was upgraded & it was huge & very beautiful but hard to enjoy with door not sealing & bugs, mouse sticky pads, bats visible in the wood outside & could hear the bats in the bathroom.

It would be ideal if a little refrigerator w litttle freezer were in every room, just like all other hotels. It is an unneccesary hardship for guests to manage without one. We NEED to refrigerate meds and perishable food and drinks. They are not expensiive & could easily fit under the desk.
