Nestled in a safe quiet area, our disabled accessable cottage is conveniently located near everything Hot Springs has to offer! Relax in our porch glider with a cup of coffee while enjoying the sweet sounds of Arkansas' native songbirds. Or launch your boat at Hill Wheatley Park, a short 2.5 miles away, and play to your heart's content on beautiful Lake Hamilton. Watch the ponies at Oaklawn or explore Historic Bath House Row. Restaurants and a market can be found just 2 miles away.

The space—
The entrance offers stairs or an elevator for easy assess. The living room and dining room are an open floor plan. Enjoy comfortable recliners and a relaxing atmosphere. A nice view can be seen from the porch or outside the window from the recliner. The full-sized kitchen offers everything you need. We also have a charcoal grill available. The bedroom is a continuation of the relaxation and convenience theme with its new queen gel mattress and touch lights. The living room also has a heavy duty twin size rollaway bed for those guesting needing an additional bed. The bathroom has a handy pull-down bench seat in the shower and handrails for those that need them.

Our Roku tv is ready for you to log in to your favorite streaming account or feel free to browse our dvd collection. We also offer games and a choice of books for our guests to use.

Cozy Accessible getaway for couple with a disability

We had a great experience with this stay! The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating. We needed some special sleeping arrangements due to my medical equipment, and they were able to bring over an extra twin xl mattress for my spouse. That sold us on the place just in the preliminary messaging on VRBO. After we booked, Brian called me to check on my access needs and make sure they had what they needed to make us comfortable, which we greatly appreciated. Once we were there, they were helpful and available but not overly involved. They even brought us toilet paper when we discovered the reserves were empty! The cottage itself was well kept and clean. The bed and extra mattress were high quality and very comfortable, even for me (I have a hard time getting comfortable in most beds due to chronic pain). We loved the full kitchen and single serve Keurig, and had a lovely time in the mornings sipping our drinks on the porch and birdwatching in the nearby grove of trees. The house was quiet and well insulated. The Fire TV was a nice amenity. It was clear a lot of care went into setting up this space, and we felt that in our stay there. Accessibility notes: The house was mostly accessible to me with a rollator walker. The bedroom was a little tight and would have been hard with my power wheelchair if I'd had it with me (no wheelchair van yet), but they told me they could rearrange the furniture to accommodate as needed, and in that case it would have worked okay. The lift worked well and was a great relief! The only access issue for other disabled travelers to be aware of is that there is no ramp from the gravel driveway to the concrete walkway around the house. It's about a 2-3" lip, so if you are in a chair you'll need to bring your own folding ramp to get onto the walkway and to the lift. All in all, this was a lovely stay and we hope to be back again next time we're in Hot Springs!
