South End For Fishing - Beach for Bonfires - New City Water

Close to everything - sleeps 7 - on the lake where they fish in the winter.

Family-owned since 1917, it is the last house on the road with lots of trees for privacy. The private beach is great for bonfires. New heavy-duty dock and canoe. Updated and restored the interior - added new beds and mattresses, couch, and all new kitchen with proper cooking pots, dishes, and cutlery etc. Screened front porch – very relaxing. Do not rent out much - NOT a loud party place.

Hello All,
This is not a usual rental so the fa

New bathroom vanity, vessel sink with waterfall style faucet and LED adjustable mirror,

Full service heated bidet toilet seat. Adjustable temperature and spray with air dryer.

New kitchen sink and faucet.

55" flatscreen - highspeed internet 100mbs+ – Bluetooth speaker with / mic

Heated/Cooler thermal bed toppers for each bedroom. Pump hot or cold water through your mattress pad. It's amazing and with good sheets!

Over the past 12 years, I have restored and updated. I replaced the entire kitchen down to studs and made it open-concept to the living/dining room. Restored the original hardwood floors and added the original bedroom layout with the original library/reading area just as it was. The new bar counter was made of 100-year-old barn wood from across the lake.

The fully screened front porch overlooks the lake and beach. You can cook meals in a full kitchen – dishwasher – microwave - coffee makers and eat your meals at the counter – expandable wood table or on the height-adjustable porch table with every seat facing the water. The chairs fit each table. Extra table leaves to the left of the bar top. Or cook on the outside propane BBQ

The toilet has a great foot pump flush (to city sewers) that continues as long as you hold it down. The shower uses a tankless heat on-demand system so all the hot water that you want. The new purified mountain lake water is here. Waited 20 years for it – So soft on your skin.

There is a canoe with new life jackets and paddles if you feel like going out on the water

So if you want to unwind, get away from it all and relax – this place might be just what you are looking for. There is dining and a supermarket and drugstore etc 4 miles away. There is a lot of great hiking and wineries 10 miles away. It is a restored cottage with a lot of character, antiques, books etc and not a hotel but you will have a great time.

Please look at the photos and email me any questions

Thanks

Trent

Great place, with a small problem.
The problem is that the property is physically small, it's short. Not a problem for most people, but being 6' 3", I was hitting my head on a lot of stuff, and hunching most the time I was in the cabin. The cabin is very cozy, it all takes a bit to get used to, but once you do, it is a great small place to stay in. It would be best to get there early to get the heat figured out, if you need to do that. There are a lot of amenities to make sure everything goes smoothly and to pass the time there. The shower is a little tricky, and I wasn't personally a fan of getting it to work, but my wife had the magic touch to make it a good temperature.

Cottage was beautiful and cozy
Cottage was perfect. My 2 oldest sons and I will be renting it again next year. Cottage had everything we needed and is only about 5-10 minutes from town.

Calming getaway
I had an amazing week at this cottage on the lake. Trent was a communicative and helpful renter, giving me local suggestions and generous with his home. The cottage is clean, well cared for, comfortable, and made for a perfect getaway while remote working and wanting to get away from the city. Working from the screened in porch, or dock itself (the wifi extends to the water) was fun, and at night I used the fire pit right near the water. My hope was for quiet time away, and this cottage absolutely delivered.

Great location
This charming house right on the lake provided us with just the getaway we needed. The screened in porched facing the water was where we spent most of our time when not exploring the Finger Lakes area or sitting by the lake or in the canoe or at the fire pit at night. Its a cozy place that might benefit from some work but the owner was very responsive to anything we had questions about. Close to Naples, Canandaigua, Geneva and Montezuma Refuge but there are great birding spots even closer like at Harriett Hollister Spencer State Recreation area about 15 minutes away that had great views of Honeoye Lake. If you don't need fancy this is a nice place to stay

Incredible place to relax and unwind
Communication from the property owner is amazing. Even though it's a busy lake with houses all around you would never know it from the dock, feels like you have your own quite hangout, with a great fire pit, and private fishing area. The house is adorable, it's an older place, but has all the features you would need to have a great stay. Lots of places to hang out. One thing I would recommend is checking the lakes Algae reports before hopping in, NY this time of year has some blooms of pretty bad stuff that you would want to keep off your skin.

Cute cottage with great views!
The owner was super helpful in every way to make the stay as enjoyable as possible! The cottage was cute and had plenty of room for 5-6 people. The fire pit was great and we enjoyed it very much. The enclosed porch was nice for coffee and sunrise over the lake. Overall we have a wonderful experience. Thank you Trent.
