Per the Hampton Inn website, and Expedia for this particular property in Franklin, NC., there were NO, I repeat NO disclaimers regarding the fact that the POOL was…under construction”! It simply stated it HAD a pool with pictures to see as if it’s up & functionally running which clearly it was NOT upon arriving at this hotel. The only way we knew was by a laminated picture & short description of the fact the pool was “under construction” stuck to the front of the desk. The front desk clerk was friendly, but simply stated it was closed at this time. NOTE: This was very deceiving to an arriving customer, AND, the fact that the RATE was higher for the weekend! This is very poor customer service that should be disclosed right up on the front end, NOT once a customer arrives on your doorstep! The right thing to do was to provide “discounts”, for all that come to this location, until the pool is up & running properly! Very poor management from the top!
