The attention paid by all the staff to the guests was exceptional. Sugar Bay was a truly wonderful and relaxing place to stay. I cannot rate Sugar Bay highly enough.

Sugar bay was a beautiful resort. And the front desk staff and wait staff, and housekeeping were excellent. So friendly, welcoming and helpful. They made us feel like family. I would say one negative is the activities. I think it needs to be better organized and I would appreciate more options. For example, I went to the water sports area for “reef snorkeling as was listed in their activity schedule and the guys there handed me snorkel gear and pointed where to go. I was scared of going in the water and too far, but no one guided me or went out with me for this activity which I expected would be a guided activity.

This is a nice place. I don’t quite understand their 1 a la carte dining experience for every 3 nights you stay. That’s not typical of most places we have stayed, where if there is availability you can eat anywhere you want as many times as you want. That said, we ate off property to skip the buffet a couple times. Other than that, it’s a beautiful place!

The staff, the resort (very intimate) everyone was so friendly and the food was outstanding! They had an event every night. Always attentive even when you’re sunbathing. They always treated you with high regards and respect with smiles on! We were spoiled!!!!

The hotel is small but well run by Management. Check in and check out was a breeze, staff were mostly friendly, the pool was small and often crowded but it depends really on what day you’re there. The rooms are spacious, clean and well stocked with toiletries. The stand out was the excellent buffet choices that they had daily. Anyone who complains about the buffet, clearly have never been to other All Inclusives. The food choices were fresh, tasty and varied day to day. We also tried the Japanese restaurant and it was outstanding. Absolutely no complaints here about the food! The beach area was clean and inviting. The nightly entertainment consisted mostly of singing groups performing oldies and current pop hits. If they could just add another pool or make the existing one much larger, I’d give this resort a 5 star rating.

If you are unsure about booking with Sugar Bay... don't! They are absolutely amazing. The food is unbelievable and better yet the staff are pure gold! They treated my daughter like their own child. The staff at the childrens center were able to my 2.5 year old who has never been left alone with a stranger. The cleaning staff across the whole resort are so kind and patient. The staff at the front desk are super kind and understanding. The staff at the bars/resturants and watersports/beach area are simply the best. They all treated my family like their own. My daughter was soo happy meet all the staff, who took the time to talk to her and get to know her. Special thanks to Pedro, Christina, Kelly Ann, Samantha from house keeping, Romario, Khia, Roshan, Nikoli, Akiel, Lashonda, Breanna, JJ, Annette, Rachan, Khya, 3rd lady from the childrens play area, Lee, hang'em up Hellen, drop dead Joan and Antonio from the bar making those extra strong drinks. I may have missed a few names. So I apologize if I missed any names. Incredible staff, thank you for the greatest resort experience ever. We will be returning for sugar. We were surprised how beautiful the property, particularly the beach was. The included drinks were superb as was the beach bar. Beach had great equipment including umbrellas, as well as, very comfortable chez lounges. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Food was good, but not memorable. I would return.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The customer service was excellent - all staff extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a good location with a bus stop just outside so easy to get around and get to other nearby beaches. The buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners were outstanding, there was lots to choose from. We had live singers each evening and there was steel pan occasionally. We received passes for Sizzle Steakhouse at the hotel where family were able to join us for dinner and pay for their meal. My only disappointments were the pool which was only 2 ft & 3 ft deep so not for swimming and they did not have an instructor for 2 of the aerobics classes we had been informed of.
