We spent a rejuvenating week at Briana's lovely farmhouse near Quechee, Vermont.
The house was inviting, airy, and charming. We spent most mornings drinking the local coffee on the porch, watching the misty recede from the valley and hills that lay before us like a scene from a film.
Our host, Briana made everything easy and convenient to check in. The house had every amenity for a cozy family get away. We could pick fresh blueberries and Jalepeno peppers from the graden, and while it was in a relatively secluded hillside location overlooking a bucolic valley, the house was just minutes from the village of Quechee, with its quaint covered bridge, glassworks factory and falls. The Quechee state park, nature center and spectacular gorge were also just down the road. Nearby, Jake's grocery store had a delightful selection of fine foods, beer, coffee and cheeses.
The house was also just a few further miles to the charming town of Woodstock, VT. where we ate the best burgers at the White Cottage Snack Bar!
We had the perfect, end-of-summer cozy getaway with family, enjoying books, hiking, biking and pleasant evenings around the fire pit.
We definitely hope to go back.
