Thanksgiving weekend, Louisiana Renaissance Festiv
Stayed over during Thanksgiving weekend from the Southshore. We were greated when we walked in, check in was easy. Ghe lobby and seating area was beautifully decorated for Christmas with a white and rustic esthetic. The room was cleaned to perfection. However, there were some noticeable cracks on the wall along the tv and on the ceiling. I guess thats a foundation issue. A bit of mold along the inside of the tub. Regardless, it was a comfortable stay as we enjoyed our annual visit to the Louisiana Renaissance Festival.

I wish our stay was better. They had to change room because heater wasnt working no phone cord and tv wasnt working good. Change room then there no phone, no stopper for the tub. Had to ask for extra towels because it was only one washcloth. Tv channels didnt line up with tv card.

I don’t normally leave a bad review unless it really sucked. We stayed at this property for a wedding. We got placed on the 1st floor in a room that the door didn’t close properly, the lock area was swollen and damaged. The bathroom rod was falling off the wall and the toilet paper holder had been ripped off and poorly reattached. The rooms are humid and musty. The halls weren’t much better. No matter how long we ran the AC - it never got better. The smell of septic gas kept seeping up from the sink drain. The refrigerator didn’t work at all, and we didn’t realize it, we loaded our stuff quickly into it after our drive and left for our 1st event for the wedding and came back and realized it didn’t cool enough and all of our snacks and my sons medicine were ruined. We love Marriott hotels - we are frequently staying with them, but I will never be back to this hotel when we come to town. It needs so much more attention. The woman on the evening shift was wonderful, but some of the males were not welcoming at all.

Dirty outdated rooms— my bathroom had dirty floors and mold in the shower. We were out of hot water for multiple hours while trying to get ready for a wedding. Thin walls and noisy neighbors. No one came into our room to replace coffee or towels— had to go to the front desk to get coffee and they had only 1 left and no cups. Fit the need, but definite room for improvement.

We loved the room. We wanted breakfast but there wasnt a free continental breakfast and the restaurant area was not open for even the purchase of breakfast. Overall great stay. We went to IHOP instead

I prepaid for hotel through Hotels.com and was charge for the room a second time plus incidentals. I was promised a refund. However upon checkout was advised that the charges of $20 and $130 were authorization charges that should fall off within the next couple of days. I was extremely disappointed and will not be going back.
