Be prepared to have the time of your life!! This very unique house is unlike any other property on our program. First of all, when you arrive you'll be blown away by the extensive amount of water front property you have access to, 380 ft to be exact!! Bring your water toys and all of your fishing gear, there is even enough room in the yard to put up a tent! The house is an old airplane Hangar. We feel very confident that whatever piques your interests, it will be here! This house has a very nice outdoor area complete with a large hot tub. There is a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. There are 3 boat slips and a floating jet ski dock. (jet ski not included). The boat launch is very close to the property and the boat slips are large enough to accommodate a pontoon boat! You are only a few miles from all of the Gulf Shores attractions, but you will feel miles away from everything! Check out the Gulf Coast Zoo in it's new location. For the young and the young at heart, take a spin on the go carts at The Track, or play a round of putt putt golf. Enjoy fresh seafood at the many restaurants Gulf Shores has to offer.

This home is pet friendly, small dogs only. The following breeds are prohibited by the association by-laws: Doberman, Rottweiler, Chow, or Pit Bull. Limit two dogs. This home does not allow any pets other than dogs. To book a pet friendly property, you MUST call the office Monday-Friday 9-5 at YOU CANNOT BOOK A PET FRIENDLY PROPERTY ONLINE.
Rules for renting with a dog:
- 35 lbs or less. Please contact us directly if pet is over the weight requirement.
-Your dog must be older than 9-months.
-Your dog must always remain on a leash when outside of the condo.
-You must clean up after your dog.
-No excessive barking.
-Paid pet fee of $120, PER PET. (It will be itemized on your receipt.)

Property is OK
We have stayed there before because it is pet friendly & my husband likes to fish, so we knew the type of house/property it is. Info for others: the house smelled musty and I bought candles but it did not help. The outside cushions desperately need replaced. There is not a dishwasher. The master bed mattress needs replaced...it luterally sinks in the middle. When using the washing machine the water goes on the patio and sometimes in the house. The downstairs bath, which is the one we chose to use because the upstairs bathroom shower was too small, smelled moldly & sometimes like sewage. The cable did not work in the bedrooms, however they are roku TVs so you can login to the apps like netflix. The refrigerator does not make ice, so buy bags of ice on the way in. They have ice trays, but that is not enough. Good things = the hot tub worked and was clean. The 2nd bedroom had 3 beds that appeared to be in good shape. Appliances worked. This is probably good for a guys trip as my husband & son in laws loved it. Great for pets as well.

needs updating
The piers and the hot tub were big sellers on the property BUT the house itself needs updates. The furniture and bed clothes were very musty smelling. We must have read the description wrong because we thought that there was a bedroom downstairs. The bedrooms were upstairs which meant the oldest of our group slept on the sofa due to not being able to climb the stairs. Like I said the outside was far better that the inside.

Know before you go.
The pictures in this listing are from years ago. This place is in bad shape. I don't think anyone from the management company visited this place before we arrived. The house is really outdated. It is not clean by any stretch of the imagination. This place needs a lot of updating and can easily be accomplished if someone would spend a week doing a deep clean. I spent a couple of hours sweeping the dead grass off the pack porch, gazebo and the driveway. Something a blower would have only taken a few minutes to do when it was cut. Beds were ok, but a new mattress in the master bedroom would be a first priority. Deck off the master, pitiful. Outdoor furniture, nasty. We covered them with beach towels just so we could sit on them. Need to get rid of all the clutter at the gazebo. Spoils the view! Fire extinguishers need to be replaced. Smoke detectors need to be installed. I would replace the downstairs window unit with a Mini-Split A/C. More efficient. I could continue on and on. It would be very hard for me to recommend this place to anyone. The best part. My wife and I enjoyed a cup of coffee each day as the sunrise piques over the horizon. It is a beautiful and relaxing view.

Great Place for Fishing!
We got together with friends for a boys fishing weekend. The hosts let us come in prior to check-in time and finish from the pier and around the property. Plenty of catfish, croakers, crabs and a few trout. If you are looking for a 5-star hotel, this place is not for you, but it had almost everything we needed. Bring plenty of bug spray!!! It would be nice to get water to the fish cleaning station - it needs a bit of work as well, and fix the drainage issue in the downstairs shower. Some soap/shampoo in the bathrooms would be nice as well. Overall great weekend!

Location was great, house left a lot to be desired
I would not rent this property again. Location was a plus but the price you pay per night is terrible. The bed is 100 years old, electrical wires hanging out of sockets, upstairs air unit falling out of ceiling, no downstairs heat and the place needs an exterminator. I had sent messages to the Sunset rental Property with no responses to date. Very poor customer service! Very dissatisfied customer!!!!

VERY Disappointed
House is very rustic, agreed. However, I don’t understand the cleaning fee. This home was not clean. I should not have to pay for it when it was not clean. Walked into home with a musty smell. Ok, over looked that, then cobwebs in the upstairs master with spiders, mold on ceiling over shower (upstairs), mold around refrigerator and freezer doors, mold in vents on ac unit, mold on inside wood post (downstairs bathroom), all drawers in kitchen bunch of crumbs. Our stay was Thursday to Monday, the straw was the roach in the living on Sunday morning. I have photos of most things listed above. Needless to say, we left Sunday morning. Very disappointing to cut our ONLY beach trip short. We have a pool and pest control and we don’t have roaches.

Fun little place, secluded but close to everything!

This home was perfect for our spring break stay. Relaxing quiet neighborhood, house was right on the water - awesome fishing spot! The vibe of the home was cool too, it was an old airplane hanger! Highly recommend this spot.

This place was nice for fishing and grilling. It’s a little run down and could use some renovations and updates. The bunks beds were nice and plenty of towels - hot tub works but came with no instructions on how to turn it on (have to grind the breaker and switches for everything) wasn’t pre heated for us so it took a whole day to get to temp. The grille was dirty but we cleaned it. Also the place took 2 days to heat up and we were super cold for 2 days. Space heaters would have been nice. Neighbors are super nice. Pretty private location too. Dogs are welcome which was awesome.

We found this place on Vrbo because we needed a place to stay after we were told our power would be out for weeks in New Orleans. We only got to stay three days because it was booked for Labor Day weekend, but we loved the time we spent there. It was spacious and relaxing. We will definitely return. Thanks!

Bayside Hideaway
Very good. Plenty of space, great views of the Bay, very private, and friendly neighbors. The boardwalk to the pier, and the pier itself, the gazebo and hot tub needed some repairs. Lastly, all the broken lighting fixtures near the water needto be replaced as they were damaged due to past hurricane damage, and present a safety hazard after dark. We enjoyed our stay and miss the gorgeous sunsets, as well as, the great birdwatching and serenity of the location.

Took my son and his friends as a college graduation gift. They loved the vibe and eccentric decor. Corner lot allowed for some privacy for them to have a good time without me constantly harping on them to be considerate of neighbors, which we still tried to be. Definitely plan on returning.

Not on the beach but beaches were also very crowded that week. Caught fish and crags just a few yards from main house. great restaurants very near by. Recommend Tin Top with quiet inside seating or out side with band/music.

The house itself and area are great. Only issues I had were the outdoor pavilion and hot tub were taped off with no trespassing signs and I was never told or notified of them being off limits. Also communication with property managers was bad. I emailed them three times over a 3 week period with no response. Finally contacted vrbo and they texted me. Even through text didn't get responses for extended times. Again property was great and would love to go back to it.
