Weekend getaway

We needed to stay in town for a volleyball tournament. We wanted a place with an indoor pool for our kids. This place was a great location, very clean, and had a great beach view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful unit! Perfect for 6 of us. Loved the ease of the beach access, pools and hot tub were great. Lots of things to do in the area. Comfy beds, nice seating for all of us. Loved it!

Poor Property Management

Dead bolt kept sticking, making it very difficult to get in and out. Washing machine did not work. Multiple calls to property management (Vacasa) over five days produced no results. Finally someone came and supposedly fixed washer, but the next day it quit working. Lock was never addressed. Very unhappy with the way these problems were handled (or NOT handled!). I will never use VRBO/ Vacasa again.

Just say NO!

The property was fine the look into that management of it was very disappointing. When you called the helpline all their information that they gave at check-in and on the phone for all five days of our stay was outdated and incorrect. No one ever could give us the correct Wi-Fi passcode which is really pretty much unacceptable. And my brother's bed frame was broken and they didn't attend to that until our last afternoon there and they didn't fix it they just took it away. I'm surprised to get a review from you because I was dealing with Vasaca, so now even more disappointed knowing they are part of your organization you should really look into that since staying there I have read other reviews not very good.

Short and sweet vacation

We stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved it! We watched dolphins every morning from our balcony. It was clean and checking in was a breeze! Everyone was very kind and we loved being right there on the beach. My only complaint would be that their cooking pans could be upgraded. I had to go buy one so I could make breakfast- a bit frustrating as the one in the condo was junk. Other then that we loved it and would come back again. It was a great vacation spot!

Overall great unit

We have stayed at multiple units at Royal Palms and this one was good, just not great. Needs a little TLC and a little deep cleaning. We don’t watch much tv but wanted to watch some late night movies, the power cord to tv kept falling out, obviously it has been like this as there was blue tape wrapped around cord in an attempt to make it stay. The kitchen is stocked well and the bathrooms are updated, walls just need a coat of paint and floors could be cleaner. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay in a great location, this unit checks the boxes.

First beach trip as a family

We stayed here for our first beach trip since having our son 6 months ago and it was perfect for us! The condo was so close to the beach it didn’t matter if we had to run up to the room to grab something or take our baby up for a quick nap, we didn’t lose out on hardly any beach time! The condo was perfect for our family of 3, any more and it may have seemed cramped since there’s only one bedroom (the bunk beds pictured are in the hall.) Not an issue, there’s plenty of room to sleep, it just may be something to think about if you’re bringing littles and need to close doors for nap time. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying here again for future trips!

Beautiful Beach

Slept our family of 4 well. The trundle bed in the living room didn't leave a lot of space in there, but my son liked sleeping it while.my daughter slept on the bunk beds. The lighting in the master bedroom is poor. There isn't much room for your beach stuff to be brought in with you, but you can make due so it isn't left outside the door. We were given the wrong code to get into the pool, so we were unable to swim the first day while waiting on a new code to be sent, then everything worked well. The view of the beach is excellent and we saw dolphins every morning. We were able to walk the beach to the pier. The waves were a little rough several days, but the water was beautiful. There are 2 BBQ grills right outside the pool area which was convenient.

Nice unit in a great location!

This condo was perfect our short stay. Exactly as described in listing and photos. It’s in a great location - the last condo before the state park pier, it is not crowded on either side. No early check-in option and the parking tags are inside the unit, so arriving early is a bit of a challenge.

We had to clean the condo for2 hours when we checked in. Hair all over fridge, freezer, bathtubs. Moldy shower shelving, dust all over dressers, night stands. The dryer never worked so we had to dry our clothes all over condo. Very bad week

Great Stay

Our family had a wonderful stay at Royal Palms 706. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. It was very clean, spacious, and kid friendly (leather furniture, not overly decorated with knick- knacks). The front door can be a little tricky, but we got the hang of it fairly quickly. The kitchen was well supplied and it was great having two bathrooms. The view was excellent and we loved being so close to the beach. We loved that it was the last complex before the state park, which made the beach less crowded. The pools were fantastic! I highly recommend this condo. If we decide to head to Gulf Shores in the future, we will certainly stay here again.

Overall another great stay

We stay at this complex quite often, but this was our first time in this unit. We had a few glitches, but most things were beyond the control of the owner/property manager. The door lock was a little tricky and the door would “stick” so that you would have to put some muscle into opening it. This unit is right off the elevator and the bedroom window faces the main corridor, so if you are a light sleeper like me, you may be disrupted by the comings and goings throughout the night. My husband sleeps heavy and never heard a thing. During our stay, the complex had hired someone to repaint all the unit entry doors, so there was one day during our stay that we had to leave our door open for about 4 hours. The contractor was very nice and did their best not to be disruptive. A few nights of our stay included Hangout Festival. We don’t attend, but we are used to the extra traffic and commotion while the concert goers are in town since our annual trip is always around the same time. Honestly, it’s not too bad at this end of the beach. However, during that time the parking is heavily monitored at the complex and tenants were supposed to have a red parking tag. We had already been there almost a week and were never issued a red tag, just the standard parking pass. This just required a little extra conversation with the parking attendant each time we returned to the condo during that weekend. There is a beach chair rental service in front of this complex. We’ve used them several times in the past, but we’ve been bringing our own chairs and umbrella the last few years — we just save a few bucks that way that we can spend later on dinners. There was one morning that the young lady setting up for the beach service placed all her chair/umbrella groups along the entire beach front when they weren’t even rented out. This just seemed a little rude to us since the families and any other tenants who had brought their own beach stuff couldn’t get a spot up front without walking further down the beach. If someone had paid to rent these spots, it probably would’ve made more sense, but they remained empty. Again, most of these things are completely out of the owner/property manager control. We still had a great time and will be returning to Royal Palms again.
