Great on the beach location

We liked being on the beach. Pool was a nice addition. Some furniture showing wear. Great communication from manager. Beds were comfortable. A/C worked great. No complaints.

Pros and cons

Our party had three families with 13 total guests. Ages ranged from 30’s-5yo. Pros to our stay was that the house had plenty of room, beds, bathrooms for all of to sleep and fit comfortably. The kids enjoyed the pool when we weren’t on the beach. Close proximity to all of Gulf Shores sights. Cons…Upstairs AC was broke. It was 81 degrees upstairs upon arrival. I called and they had the AC units replaced in a short amount of time. It was nice that they responded quickly and were able to fix things in a timely manner. Cockroaches were the other con. A very large cockroach was found crawling over the silverware when the drawer was opened. Two other cockroaches were seen in the downstairs hallway and in the downstairs bedroom with bunk beds. With the exception of the cockroaches and half a night without upstairs AC, it was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Christmas break with the family

The code provided to us for check in was wrong. We couldn't reach anybody and sat outside in the cold for 30+ min trying to get an answer.We tried email, the number provided to call and text. a direct link when problems like this occur would be helpful. The table had not been wiped off. The pool deck had food trash and wet towels all over it and it smelled like somebody had just cooked instead of smelling fresh and clean. The master bed squeaks every time you move. Other than that we enjoyed the view, the space and the location. we brough games to play because we knew the pool would be too cold to use, so maybe adding a few board games would be a nice addition. Also having some throw blankets on the couch

Family Fun

The house was exactly as described in the online listing. The property management people responded very quickly when we had a small problem with the pool. The outdoor furniture was showing some signs of normal wear and tear but they were fine and there were plenty of chairs surrounding the pool. We had a great time!

A great place to stay

This was a great place to stay! It was a short walk to a near by grocery store, ice cream shop, and liquor shop. There were three things we wish the house would have had, but nothing against them owners, just a preference of ours: an outdoor table and chairs, a small board walk to the beach, and access to the pool from the garage area. The house itself was wonderful and we would definitely stay again!!

2 of the twin mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable. The ice maker and one coffee pot did not work. The dishwasher was not working properly. It ran continuously. We bought felt chair pads for all 8 chairs because they made such an annoying scraping sound. We also bought chair pads for the chairs. Our stay was adequate, just sharing what could be improved. Thank you.

The location and beach access were clearly the best things about our stay. Overall the group of 9 adults commented that the accommodations seemed run down. While we enjoyed Gulf Shores, we collectively agreed that on our next trip, we will seek other lodging.

Great stay

Loved the house. Was just as the pictures online showed. It was clean and comfortable. No trouble getting in. The pool was clean and the pool-side chairs were very nice to lay on and watch my grandkids while they played in the pool. Everyone was friendly. The beach chairs and umbrellas in the outside closet were nice since we did not bring any. My family had a great time. Would highly recommend this house.

Location was great. Property needs some touch ups but overall we had a good stay

Rental process was easy. We did not get our code to enter with our notification but Vacasa was quick to respond. Exterior needs some painting and water stain on roof in downstairs bedroom which I did not expect for the price paid to rent. But set up was nice, kids had a great time and weather fantastic!

Disappointing management and communication. Great property overall.

When we first arrived in Gulf Shores around 3:00, we had still not received the access code for the property, which was supposed to be sent via email 24 hours earlier. We called the management company and finally received the access code after two phone calls. The attendant was very helpful over the phone. When we entered the house the cleaning company had just began to clean. It took them until almost 6:30 pm before they were done and we could enter the house. This is in light of the strict 4:00 PM arrival/entry time and 10:00 AM departure time. The cleaners did allow us to put some groceries in the refrigerator that we had already purchased before arriving. Though in desperate need of a paint job , rugs at the doors for the sand, Wash clothes and towels in the kitchen, florescent replacement lamps in the closets, a new window in the master bedroom that opened, and among some smaller items, a decent barbecue grill that would accommodate cooking for a larger group, the house was clean, comfortable and pleasantly more spacious than expected. The pool was also well maintained and enjoyable. The beachfront is in a very good location and much less crowded than many other areas in the beach. This property accommodated our family of all ages.

Beautiful view and spacious home

When we arrived our code that we had to reach out to even get didn't work. It took a half hour to get us in the property, never received a call from the property manager for a code for us since maintenance for us in. I had to reach out again for the code. Once we got in the home was beautiful, very spacious, had a great beach view. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us! The house was cleaned good. The pool was good but the patio furniture was not. Almost all the chairs and lounge chairs on our side were broken. We had a great time and the house was great but I was definitely disappointed with the process of getting in the house and the patio furniture. Contacting Vascasa was not easy either.

Location was awesome! House was good but needs some tlc.

The location is great. Overall the house is good. Cleanliness needs to be stepped up a bit. All of the outside furniture needs replaced. It took 4 days into our stay to get the dryer where it would dry clothes. It will not shut off by itself now. Has to be manually turned off. I called several times before it was authorized to be fixed. Customer service was not good. Spoke to a different person each time I called and by looking at previous reviews the dryer was broke before our arrival. They did refund us $200. It was a big inconvenience having 9 people in the house and no way to wash or dry towels (rained 2 full days so line drying wasn't an option). In order for the house to maintain the same level as neighboring units, I think they need to assess the issues and do more routine maintenance.

A little TLC would make this a great gem.

The location of this property was ideal. The pool and beach combo was perfect. Dealing with Vacasa was difficult at times (two e-messages inquiring about highchair, etc were not answered). A final phone call about this and another to ask about the entry code resolved the question, but I had to wait on hold for a while before it was answered. This property needs a deep cleaning - the glass top tables in living room had noticeable fingerprints and smudges, and the upstairs carpet in the back bedroom had not been vacuumed. Potato chip pieces and other small bits were on the floor. We have never rented a place that didn't have a hair dryer and we had to purchase them for our use. It should be more clear that basic amenities like this (and things like salt & pepper) are not there. Pool/patio furniture was broken and in piles - this was mentioned in a review from last year and I had expected this would have been corrected by now.

Great place for the most part!

All in all, none of this stuff would deter us from booking this property or other Blue Parrot properties in the future, and we definitely hope to do so! PS - bring extra trash bags, dish soap, laundry soap, etc - they do provide some which is great but you'll most likely need extra!

Property and location was fabulous! Walk out you door and right onto the beautiful beach.

Great stress free Thanksgiving! Beach was not crowded. Lovely long walks and great place for kiddos too. We will be back!

Wonderful Experience

This beach front condo is a wonderful place to stay! The overall process was effortless as Vacasa did a great job at sending all the necessary information ahead of time and kept us up to date on any changes. The duplex condo was very clean and just as described with a short walk to the beach. The pool was a plus as well! We did have to leave early due to the hurricane, though would rent from again!

Great House with Great Beach Access

The beach house was clean, well laid out, and sufficiently equipped. The beach was right in our front yard, and the water just 50 yards away. We loved our stay and would definitely consider staying here again!

Dirty!! Terrible Guest Services!! Would NOT recommend to anyone!

Would not recommend this unit or Kaiser Realty in any way. The home was dirty, dining room window totally covered in so much green 'mold' that we could literally not see out of the window! Bathtub had black mold that we had to clean out before using! There were some issues in the home that we called Guest Services about the 1st day there...we were told it was being taken care of...had to call several times when it was not taken care of....each time we were told the same thing (lied to) and that someone was 'on the way' to correct the problems. Decks had nails sticking up in the walkways. Saw several RATS around the home!! Spoke to Manager at Kaiser Realty (Tom) who was VERY rude and told us to not call so much, and also if we didn't like the unit we could leave and go somewhere else!!! He said he would have Randy Kaiser the owner of Kaiser Realty call us the next day when he was available....even confirmed the phone number to call us on....but we had no return call at all from Randy Kaiser or anyone else! This was not a cheap rental, the home should never be in this condition for that cost!! Recommend to look at other rentals....don't waste your money on this one!

Great location but house needs some work

This is great house for a large family. The semi private pool is a fantastic perk and the beach is so close and does not have a ton of traffic so there is a good bit of privacy. if there are a few things that can be improved: the house needs to be cleaned on the outside, mold on the house, siding falling off, weeds everywhere, trash under the house, BBQ pit needs to be replaced. Inside some of the appliances need to be fixed or replaced (ice machine, oven). The electronics are also very dated. The kitchen is lacking needed cookware,. On the positive side, anything we reported broken was quickly fixed and the maintenance company was incredibly responsive. All in all a great trip, we enjoyed our time but hoped for a bit nicer accommodations.

Great location

The property is in a great location and had plenty of room for our Spring Break group. I feel the property was in good condition. The walls could have been wiped down and the refrigerator leaked water. We did not complain about this to the property management company because it wasn't a huge deal. We all had a great time and would stay again. The only thing I would recommend the company looking into is offering a grill. We brought our own, but would have much rather not have too.
