“Bikini Bottom East” is a DOG FRIENDLY* 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom,1360 sq. ft. duplex located in Gulf Shores, Alabama, just one block from the beach!

Adequate parking for up to 4 vehicles No parking passes required
This is a rental of one half of this duplex. If you want to rent the whole house, we have a listing for the whole house called Bikini Bottom (both sides).

***DOG fee is $250 and max weight of dog allowed is 40 pounds. Dog fee is not included in the total. You will need to let us know after reserving that you are bringing a dog so the fee can be added.**

The main level offers a cozy living area with new sleeper sofa, love seat, coffee table, and coastal décor. The kitchen is fully stocked with all pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, and glassware you'll need to make yourself at home during your Gulf Shores vacation. Upstairs you will find the Master Bedroom with a King size bed, closet, private bathroom, and a private balcony with lagoon views. The Middle Bedroom has a Queen size bed and shares the hall bathroom. The Rear Guest Bedroom has a King Bed, closet, and a private south balcony which faces the pool. This duplex is dog friendly with payment of a non-refundable $250 dog deposit which covers the extra cleaning required due to dog hair.

BEACHBALL PROPERTIES VACATION RENTAL POLICIES:

• RENTAL AGREEMENT: Tenant Vacation Rental Agreement must be electronically signed to secure your reservation. Please read carefully. This is a legally binding document.

• NO SMOKING: All properties are non-smoking.

• AGE RESTRICTION: Must be at least 25 years older to book a BEACHBALL PROPERTIES vacation rental. A person 25 years or older must be staying at the property for the entire duration of the booking. There will be no refunds issued for anyone booking under false pretenses.

• CHECK-IN: Check-in is at 4PM. Early check-in is not possible, sorry but no exceptions.

• CHECK-OUT: Check-out is at 10AM. Check out after 10AM will be charged an additional day.

• DOG-FRIENDLY PROPERTIES: If you are staying at a dog-friendly property, you MUST notify us and pay a non-refundable dog deposit. Failure to do so will result in us charging your card for the entire amount authorized for damage.

• MONTHLY/SNOWBIRD RENTALS: Available from November through February. Call to ask about monthly rates.

• PARKING PASSES: 4 vehicles maximum. No passes required. The cost of parking passes is set by each Homeowner's Association and is subject to change at any time without notice. U-hauls, trailers, boats, jet skis, buses, etc. are not allowed on property.

• CANCELLATION POLICY RELAXED: Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in shall receive a 100% refund of the amount they have paid. For cancellations between 14 and 30 days before check-in, 50% of the total reservation costs shall be refunded. For cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the beginning date of the reservation, NO REFUNDS will be issued. Refunds shall not be issued for late arrivals, early departures, or inclement weather conditions including hurricanes and named storms. We do offer optional travel insurance which we highly encourage all guests to purchase.

• WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: Guests receive a “starter pack” of laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, one trash bag per trash can, and travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and soap per bathroom. Starter supplies are not intended to last for the duration of your stay. Linens are furnished but please bring your own beach towels.

• RATES: Rates subject to change up until time of booking. Additional fees and taxes may apply.

Location, location, location…
Location is the best thing about this place. Short walk to wide open public beaches and quick access to restaurants and stores around Gulf Shores. The space is smaller than the pictures look and was barely functional for two families of six. The place looks to be heavy trafficked and not made for the wear and tear. The pool was cloudy and dirty looking all week, even after contacting host. The triple stack bunks were quite wobbly and the sign they have posted notes not responsible for injuries. The beds in the bunks were pretty much only springs, which sort of works for small kids but less so as they get bigger and older.

Overall we were very happy with our stay at this property for our family vacation. The kitchen appliances could definitely use updating. All of the stove top burners do not work and/or are not functioning properly. The flooring in the kitchen is coming up from the subfloor creating a really easy place to stub your toe or pinch your feet. I really wish the pool was cleaned more regularly. We stayed for five nights and it was not cleaned the entire time. We did not have a cleaning screen for us to use ourself. We ended up asking the neighbor if we could use theirs to get the bugs from the top of the pool out. For any families wondering if they have beach stuff available, they do have beach toys on the property but no beach chairs or umbrellas. I had asked prior to our stay and was not given a clear answer on what was available and what wasn’t. The location/neighborhood worked well for us. It was conveniently located to shops, grocery, stores and the beach. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Had issues when we first got there- the pool was dirty, the furniture was from the 60’s and dirty.the washer and dryer door was falling off. The pool furniture was ripped and unusable. The deck was the best place there. The pictures were taken with a wide angle lens- you can barely fit 10 people. One of the bunk bed mattress was a box spring only. I will never book with that company again!

Misleading horrible communication
The listing was very misleading. They have since changed it. We had broke ceramic tile in the main living area room floor. Called to ask about and they said someone would call me first thing in the morning and never called back. They informed me that it was a known issue before our stay but never gave us a warning or sent anyone to fix it. We had to place pieces of furniture over it to keep anyone from cutting their feet on the exposed broken tile. Would not recommend this unit to anyone looking for somewhere to stay.

Nice Location! Pool was a bonus!
This house would be perfect for 2 families. We had 3 and it was almost too crowded. There isn't a huge area to eat or hang out. We had teenagers so they almost needed another area to hang out when we had downtime. The pool was perfect. Having 2 rooms with king size beds was also very nice. The one bedroom with the queen bed is very small and had to have luggage in the room. Home could use a little freshening up with paint and some updates to the bathroom and kitchen. Overall, we had a great experience. The rental place was also great. Our coffee maker stopped working, I messaged them and they brought a new one a few hours later. You can walk to the beach through a path out back but you do have to cross the road.

The Good The price was affordable and the location was great. It’s a little far to walk for restaurants. Maybe 2 restaurants where close enough to walk to but it’s a decent walk. The condo itself was decent in size, most of which went to the bedrooms. Small living room area with enough room to sit, but not big enough for a full house to sit. Three average size bathrooms. We noticed some water pressure issues and the master bath didn’t drain great. Outdoor furniture on the deck was extremely nice. There were three small balcony sitting areas outside the bedrooms with plastic Adirondack chairs. The Bad Dirty… Nothing was cleaned prior to our arrival except the sheets. At least I hope they were clean. We had sand and dirt throughout the condo and all of our dishes where dirty. Apparently the cleaning company doesn’t clean the dishes. Seriously, no joke, that’s what they told me. The coffee mugs where covered in dust and the coffee pot hadn’t been cleaned. The countertops where dirty, like once you touch them you say gross. Needless to say our first night was cleaning and not relaxing. We spoke with the man in charge of the cleaning company and we were given our cleaning deposit back so at least they made it right. We also had issues with a bedroom fan missing a pull chain, one of the sliding doors was broken and wasn’t able to be used after it was “fixed”. The door to our washing machine was broken and had to be fixed. We ended up with cockroaches two different times and had to have the condo sprayed. They where apparently living under the fridge. The stairs leading to the deck are off set and could be a hazard if ur not paying attention going down them. The pool felt like a warm bath and finally the bedroom where the queen bed is located is barley big enough to hold it. Maybe, and I mean maybe there is three feet between the bed and the wall. No closet, just a small dresser. Trim, doors, vanities, and door knobs need to be updated. Our carbon monoxide detector went off. Called and were told it’s probably just a fire alarm. Took awhile but someone eventually came. When we went upstairs after he left, there was a pile of stuff from the ceiling he just left in the floor. Even with the issues we still enjoyed our stay. I’m not sure we would stay again unless some of the above issues our resolved. We had little contact with the property manager aside from when I called. I never felt like they where overly concerned.

Amazing Beach House
We had several adults and several children! We all slept so good. Super comfy beds! This house is walking distance to the beach and there are a ton of attractions, shops, and dining that are only a short drive away! The Gulf State Park is 10 mins away! There is a tiny "Kids Club" room that the babies LOVED to play in! Definitely recommend for a large family or group and will definitely be back!

Property location and management was great. There was a few issues with cleanliness and repairs.
We enjoyed our stay, but we were a bit disappointed with the lack of maintenance. The inside of the property was not very clean and there were items that were broken. The dish washer was not secured and you could not open the door without it following out from under the counter. Many of the curtains rods were broken, a light fixture was not secure. If time was put into cleaning, painting and maintaining the property we would come back.

Only issues were minor cosmetic items in condo which if fixed would make the unit nicer: touch up paint in several areas, doors which hide washer/dryer was off causing it to be really loud when running. While owners said only one block from beach, you had to walk 1/2 mile to get to the public beach.
