This lovely high-rise condo, which occupies the east corner of Crystal Tower's 14th floor, offers majestic views of the Gulf of Mexico and a prime location across the street from the beach! Come home each afternoon to relax on the private balcony, help prepare dinner at the kitchen's bar counter, and enjoy such fantastic on-site amenities as multiple outdoor pools, an indoor pool, a lazy river, a fitness center, a hot tub and sauna, a beachfront boardwalk, and grilling areas.

This condo is located in Crystal Tower, just across an air-conditioned sky bridge from the beach. The property sits half a mile west of the heart of Gulf Shores and Highway 59, which is home to such family-friendly attractions as Waterville USA and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. Spend a morning exploring the natural wonders of Gulf State Park (two miles east), hit the links at the Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club (eight miles west), time your visit to attend the Hangout Music Festival or the Annual Gulf Shores Shrimp Fest, and dine on excellent local seafood at nearby restaurants that include The Hangout and Beach House Kitchen & Cocktails. The view was awesome but…
It’s our third gulf shores trip and second time at Crystal tower. I loved the view from our unit. But… cleaning was ok, furnitures were old, dingy, scratched up, and shaky, bed was squeaky, maintenance is much much needed, and kitchen was NOT well stocked AT ALL. No knives except some steak knives, no cutting board, only two bowls, and four mugs. Many of the plates and mugs I did see had chipped edges. Bunk bed didn’t have a step ladder for the top bunk. I called maintenance and, after waiting like 10 minutes on the phone, they said there’s no ladder so just step on the bottom bed to climb up. My daughter had to use a chair and a dresser to get on top. TV’s were old and screen quality was bad. Inside of the dryer was rusted and scratched up. Door lock was maybe low on battery- it kept powering off while putting in the code. Three of the five light bulbs were out in the dining. With all that said, yes I would probably book again if it’s priced cheaper in comparison, but I would have to bring my own pillows, knives, and other kitchen items.

Mini Vacation
We are no stranger to Chrystal Towers. This is our 3rd trip to the condo and love the pool and access to the beach. Elevator wait times and speed were amazing. Not too crowded this weekend so that was great. The condo was a little disheartening on arrival. We arrived around 9pm and my kids were running around while we got unpacked and their feet were literally black from walking barefoot in the condo. There was dust on glass table tops that you could see. I messaged the owner about the dirty floors and requested someone to come mop since a mop was not available in the condo but with it being late I knew it wouldn’t be handled then. I ended up mopping floors with towels and did the best I could. No one ever came to mop the floors. The condo was decent, had enough to get us through our short weekend but the overall of it was gross to say the least. This condo definitely needs TLC. No microwave rotating plate, Toaster oven doesn’t work, there isn’t a wall that’s not covered in a scratch or mark (even looked like blood on guest bathroom wall?!?), the floor between kitchen and dining room appears unfinished. Balcony needs pressure washing as it is black to walk on, and it needs a deep cleaning. Will definitely return to the building for another stay but not this unit unfortunately.

Gulf Shores stay
When we arrived to the Condo, the AC was not working. It took almost 24 hours for someone to get it taken care of. Once it was fixed, the space was better. The condo had candy in the bunkbeds where the kids slept. Candy was in the sheets and on the bed. A used milk bottle with old milk was left under the coach in the living room and had old milk spilling out from under the coach in the living room. Gatorade bottles were left under the bed in the master bedroom. When we arrived, I had to vacuum and re-clean the space in order for us to feel comfortable. The AC not working properly really made the beginning of the stay very uncomfortable. The last day of our stay, we waited 40 minutes for an elevator to take us from the 14 floor to the parking lot. It was absolutely frustrating. The condo needs a complete over haul and new linens. It would make the space a lot more appealing.

Very disappointing
For being a premium unit in this complex it was very disheartening to see the lack of supplies and maintenance for this unit. As soon as we walked in, there was a hole over the eating area in the kitchen. Plaster was failing on to the counter making it a safety hazard to eat there. There are two couches and both are broken and ripped. The supplies in the kitchen were a joke. This unit provided 2 forks and 3 butter knives. There was no knife block or a knife that we could use to cut food. Underneath the sink, it was leaking which did not help with the constant mold smell. The sink in the master bathroom was cracked. Majority of the lights were either burned out or didn’t work. The owner has so much random stuff in the bedroom closets we couldn’t even use it, although no hangers were provided anyways. We reached out to Vacasa 10 minutes after we checked in. Vacasa sent some out the next day to assess our concerns. He did come back with 6 more forks, 6 more butter knives, and a new frying pan. They said they would reach out to the owner and follow up with me. I’m still waiting a response!

We were here for my moms 70th birthday surprise. Beautiful views, wonderful amenities, quick access to the beach. The sofa was torn from what the pictures showed and the fridge was leaking but overall enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Overall property is great. Unit needs TLC in the living area and second bedroom.
Such a beautiful view of the ocean and the Sound. Two great balconies. The pictures online are obviously old. The furniture in the living room needs replacing, torn sofa, the throw pillows are old and musty. Should be thrown out. The kitchen is nice but cookware and accessories are minimal. Main bedroom is nice the secondary bedroom needs updating. The mattress on the queen bed needs to be replaced very uncomfortable for adults. The trip was about the beach and it is a great beach property. I would go back to the property but probably not this unit. Also, There was Construction being done and it was a little inconvenient but not a huge issue.

Beautiful place but needs updating
The place was beautiful and comfortable but there are various appliances and furniture that needs fixing. We told the property manager about it but no one came during our time there - freezer water leaking, microwave fan cover fell on my daughter, sofa is ripped, But it was a beautiful place.

Not the cleanest
Master sheets and towels had stains on them. The door to the AC unit was caked with dust and dirt, kitchen ceiling was very dirty. Refrigerator would stop working and water would leak and pool up in the kitchen also water started pouring out of fire sprinkler in kitchen on our last night. And lastly the balconies had no furniture on them as pictures online indicated that there were table and chairs. Very disappointed with this unit.

Elevator situation horrible! Only 2 of the 3 working. Only 1 working when checking out. Not great when you're on the 14th floor. Elevator repairman there when checking out, and said that the property management doesn't maintain them very well, and actually recommended that The Phoenix was a better maintained condo complex. The location was good, the walkway over the road was great! The pool is nice, but the beach is very narrow. People out setting up tents and chairs as early as 6:00 am. This unit has a wonderful view, but only a table and one lounge chair on one of the balconies. We still had a good time, but would never stay here again.

So there was no furniture on patio area but a couple crappy chairs. The washer had a rusted lid so had to do laundry elsewhere. Ice maker didn't work and last the sleeper couch was falling apart. After seeing other condos in building that our friends where staying in for same price. Would not recommend this one.

We stay in crystal towers annually and love it. NOT THIS UNIT!! It was dirty, with crumbs on the carpet and end tables, a puddle of water in the kitchen. No furniture for sitting on either balcony (except the broken down dangerous recliner on back balcony) Managment said they would get back to us and never did!!!!

It was a nice place. The pools were great. Location was great. We did have an issue with the couch and the fold out couch. The one couch was broken in center. Was noticeable and I had already seen on a previous review that it was broken but would be taken care of. Also there were some dirty dishes in the cabinet. Other than that everything was fine. Thanks.

1401 crystal towers.
The property could have been a little cleaner when we checked in. Awesome views made up for it though. We’ve never stayed in such a large facility so the number of people was overwhelming. My only complaint is the busyness of the beach. We are used to staying in a smaller property with a more private beach feel (we were 4 rows back from the water). Don’t like the rule that rented chairs and umbrellas can’t be waterfront. Overall it was a good vacation.

It badly needs a makeover! Loved the view an size.
Living room couch, recliner, an dining room chairs are so uncomfortable!! Carpet is really stained. 2nd bedroom needs a new TV an mattress, pillows. I can overlook somethings but when I got out blankets from the closet and found what looked like fresh blood on 2 of them an other stains on the 3rd that really was gross! They hadn't been washed!!! Yes they brought us clean ones the next day but I was so worried about the sheets being fresh so I washed them. I just feel that it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned! We did enjoy our vacation an was thinking about reserving for next year but very hesitant to do it. Will look else where even though we loved the view!

Great location and our condo could be really nice if it had some TLC done to it.
We enjoyed our week at the condo. However, our condo itself could use some work. The carpets, drapes, and walls were dirty. Furniture in the living room had a lot of wear and tear on them. Beds were old and really stiff. And the kitchen was missing some essentials, like hot pads, utensils, etc.

Nice, clean condo but could use some tlc
We had a great time in Gulf Shores, as usual. The condo did need some updates. The chairs were broken, the cable cord in the bedroom needs to be mounted to the floor, there was a leak in the kitchen ceiling and the carpet will soon need to be replaced. Otherwise, it was very clean and had everything we needed. We look forward to coming again next year. :-)

Very relaxing!
My family truly enjoyed our stay. The condo was just what we needed. The pool choices was amazing. Our grandchildren really enjoyed their view from the balcony and playing in the pools.
