Beutiful spot with easy access to Hwy 20. Some terrible reviews from 3 years ago, but apparently much improved. Unfortunately, the very nice restaurant on site has just closed down

I had visited many years ago and had a great stay. Now the property is going through renovations. Everyone at the desk was great and accommodating when we asked to be moved to another room. There are many things to like including a great location to Nevada City, and the price is right compared to other stays in the area.

the pictures do not reflect the actual status of the rooms. the sink inside the door upon entering ,water was always running, the carpet was dirty and stained, there was a horrible smell thru out the room, the walls were dirty along with the floors. the glass sliding door had hand prints all over them. The kitchenette was sticky upon touch of most all appliances. there was dry rot on the counter along with missing tiles. The chairs had furniture covers on them, underneath, yuck. The couch was dirty and had large runs in the material. over all not a good place to stay.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and the ice machine is not working. We had to drive to the gas station for cups of ice. And there is no freezer in the fridge in the room. They used to serve breakfast and now you can go to office for a danish. But it is very quiet

Very basic room with a comfortable bed. The property is nicely landscaped with pleasant hiking trails. The train ride to the train museum is an enjoyable experience for all ages.

Complex was situated well away from main drag, quiet enough and walkable but 1 mile, which made driving the usual choice which was more challenging due to the limited parking in town. Wifi had no password but also said ‘no internet’ for most of our time there, so no schoolwork studying possible. Staff shrugged. Bedsprings were very palpable and painful at times. Room divider and limited kitchenette was nice to create ‘studio suite’ but very basic and had not been updated in a while. Sensitive plumbing warnings were posted along with promises to charge for any mishaps, and made squealing noises when used. We will choose closer to town charms and pay more next time.

Was fine. Spacious. Outdated though.
We had a chalet and it was fine. Desperately needs updating. Old torn and stained carpet. But unit was clean and comfortable and safe. The property is a bit run down overall and the chalet/cabin itself could’ve used a few good Home Depot runs.
