Located in the heart of Lutsen Mountains and the North Shore, the Northwoods Retreat boasts all of the amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel. This is the perfect place to relax…and when you’re ready to venture out, this recently built Lutsen Northwoods Retreat is conveniently located near most anything you choose to do while visiting. The location is priceless…Lutsen Mountains ski hills and hiking trails/falls are just up the hill. Snowmobile and biking trails are nearby, too! The North Shore Winery/Sawtooth Mountain Cider House is within walking distance. The Gitchi-Gami State Trail is just down the road….and to top it off, the cabin overlooks Superior National Golf Course with views of Lake Superior off to your left and views of Moose Mountain off to your right. It's the perfect home away from home to relax and enjoy true north.

This sweet cabin provides three bedrooms, two bathrooms with sleeping availability for up to 10 people. Built in 2017, everything is newer and ready for your enjoyment.

The kitchen provides a granite island with bar stools and is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. The kitchen/dining/living area boast a floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace - just a great place to kick back and relax.

The bathrooms include a walk-in tiled shower on the upper level and a tub/shower combination on the main level.

The exterior of the cabin consists of two outdoor living areas - a partially covered wrap around porch accessible from the main living area with gas grill and outdoor dining table for your enjoyment AND a large covered balcony off of the upper level bedroom...perfect for star gazing. The stars are absolutely incredible here! In the quiet of the night, you can even hear the falls....serenity and peace!

Other amenities include heated floors, central air, granite counter tops, silhouette blinds on all of the windows, high speed internet, WIFI, satellite TV and location.....only a short distance up Ski Hill Road off of Highway 61.

The driveway offers plenty of room for parking providing a circular drive for easy in and out for trailers. Relaxing with good conversation around the fire pit adds to incredible evenings under the northwoods night sky.

What makes the bedrooms so inviting? I have so carefully chosen top of the line furniture, mattresses and bedding for your comfort with luxury bed linens from the Hilton Collection. Comforters and pillows are down alternative. All of the bedrooms provide a flat screen TV with satellite TV. The king bedroom offers a large balcony perfect for star gazing. All bedrooms have ceiling fans plus additional tabletop fans, if needed. A Pack N Play is, also, available for the little ones. The pull-out twin sleeper and EZ beds all have gel foam mattress toppers for your comfort.

Annual Sibling Get Together

Girls weekend

Great location! Close to Gondola, winery, maple syrup stop, Short drive Grand Marais,Oberg Mt.just down the road, Golf course out back door. Northwoods retreat was immaculate. VERY Comfortable beds. Pillows were good quality. I'm picky so brought my own pillow. Deb the host very accomodating. The wood for firepit was nice and clean and practically started on its own. Wonderful cabin

Our stay at Deb's property was awesome! Everything was very clean and organized. The kitchen was fully stocked so we were able to cook anything (most places don't have enough items). It was nice to sit out on the porch and have our coffee. The firepit was nice and close to the cabin. Location was perfect. This was probably the nicest place we have rented (we rent alot), and will definitely come back!

Perfect family getaway!

This house is great for our family of 6 - this was our 3rd stay and it was wonderful again. Kitchen is well stocked and organized, plenty of space to relax and play games, love the porch (and covered so good for a rainy afternoon), and the location can’t be beat. Short drive to Grand Marais, winery/cidery just up the road, and many good trail options nearby. Communication was clear and easy from start to finish!

Perfect stay!

Our family stayed at Deb’s place for the Lutsen 99er weekend. It was the perfect base camp for our weekend. The cabin is beautiful and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen is exceptionally well stocked and the living room is a comfortable gathering space. Outdoor spaces are excellent from the porch to the fire pit, everything you could want. Deb is an excellent host. We’ve already booked for next year!

Great location and home for ski trip

Perfect setting for any group headed to Lutsen Mountain. If you prefer the amenities of home, look no further. Home was clean and easy to enjoy. We stayed with 4 adults and 5 kids, while the bed setup worked it was a bit tight, but still comfortable to make it work!

New years ski trip

The house is an amazing location to ski! My husband is a master carpenter and he enjoyed all the attention to detail throughout the home. I unfortunately injured myself on the 2nd lift of the morning on our second day and was bed ridden. I couldn’t have been in a better place to be stuck in bed all day. It was like staying at the Four Seasons. The comfort of bed and pillows is exactly what anyone needs after a long day on the hills or an injured skier laid up all day. If we are skiing in Lutsen, we will be staying here every time! Thank you

Great cabin!

Beautiful cabin in a perfect location for skiing Lutsen Mountain. The cabin is immaculate and suited all of our needs. The HUGE abundance of games was a plus- we had epic wars over Uno and Battleship. Deb was amazing to work with and answered my messages immediately. I wish every property had a Deb! Fantastic again!

This was our third stay here, and second one celebrating Thanksgiving. The house is so well appointed; best supplied kitchen I've ever rented, supreme bedding, amazingly neat, clean and tidy. Deb is a wonderful host, always very quickly on top of any requests or needs, and always so gracious. We'll be back, for sure!

Sibling Retreat

Great first experience!

This was the first time I have booked/stayed at a Vrbo. The entire process was very easy and straightforward. 8 members of my family had plenty of space with the beds available. The house was neat, tidy and very organized. It was well furnished with everything we needed. Anything not included for the rental was stated clearly beforehand. It is a beautiful house that is in a great location for seeing the north shore. We will definitely go back.

Perfect getaway!

We loved staying here! With 6 adults and 2 young kids, it fit us perfectly! Kitchen was well stocked, beds were very comfortable. We used the pull out couch, which wasn’t as great obviously, but still worked well. Loved the outdoor fire pit and had PLENTY of wood. Being on the golf course was an added bonus! Close to hiking trails and activities. We had one minor issue and it was tended to quickly and without headache. Highly recommend (and from someone who is quite picky!). Thank you Deb!

Family Weekend in the woods!

Family Stay

We recently stayed (me, wife, college daughter) for a quick 3 nights to end our week on the North Shore. Home is well-appointed with all the conveniences of home. Outdoor decks, master balcony and fire pit and great for relaxing. Plenty of board games kept us entertained when weather didn’t cooperate. I enjoyed a round of golf on Superior National (breathtaking course) while the girls went up the road to the local winery. Highly recommend!!!

Great stay on the North Shore
