Our cozy chalet is the perfect retreat in Pocono Mountains! Close to all major Ski resorts in Northern PA.

Please Note Maximum Guests allowed at all times including day visitors is 9 guests ( no matter the age, no exceptions ) imposed by the New HOA rules.

Nestled in a resort type community with 3 lakes (kayak, canoes, slow engine boats), indoor, outdoor heated pool ( tennis courts, Clubhouse and playground, lake beach), private Hot tub, the Crazy Caribou Chalet is only 15-35 min away from 3 ski resorts, Camelback, Kalahari and Great Wolf resort, Mount Airy Casino Nascar and outlets. Spend a day at the Zoo in the woods visiting Claws N Paws and feeding the giraffes ( about 25-30 min away from our Chalet) or in the summer enjoy concerts and fireworks at the resort's beach. At night time enjoy some time in front of the firepit and roast some marshmallows. Rainy days are perfect to visit the indoor water parks in the area or take a trip to see the Outlets or Mount Airy Casino. So many local attractions in the Pocono Mountains!
The resort has heated indoor pool, tubing slopes and ice skate rink, gym and game room. Also Clubhouse is running activities daily. Fridays are Thai food, Saturdays are concerts or barbecues at the beach during summer.


Cleaning fee is covering the community registration fee. Any last minute fine charge fee of $50 if under 3 business days required by community will be charged to the guest.

I Wanna go Back to the Lake!

We had a marvelous time at Caribou Cabin on Big Bass Lake. PROS: Claudia rocked! She was responsive to our needs upon arrival and to answer questions regarding the community's amenities and costs. Deer ate bread right out of our hands! Plenty of firewood, coffee, shower soap, shampoo, dishes, etc. Nice fluffy robes for exiting the hottub, plenty of velvet hangers, towels, kitchen items/utensils & paper products. A/C kicked butt. Nice and chilly to beat the humidity. CONS: Dining room seating was uncomfortable and unstable. We ate quickly and did not linger around table. No outlet in 2nd bath-unless it's hidden-how can you function without one? If your clothes do not hang---ie: pj's and undergarments, you are SOL. No dressers in any room. We used extra bedroom to lay clothes out on the beds..The A-frame is smaller than expected from pics and the windows were cloudy. Rustic=no lawn and ankle high foliage. Would not be pleasant for children to run outside. However, if they are older and like to explore nature, it's perfect!

Amazing place for family!!!!

Claudia's chalet was amazing for a relaxing family gateway. We had everything we needed and Claudia paid attentions to little details throughout the whole house. House was very clean and welcoming. We enjoyed so much the indoor pool and the game room! We are already planning to come back for the summer vacation. Truly a 5* star accomodation!
