Upon check in, we were “upgraded” due to being on our honeymoon- it was anything but that. The issues were abundant! The a/c didn’t work in the room, the bathtub wouldn’t hold water, mold in the shower, burn? Spot in the carpet, bed was wobbly and couldn’t move without it sounding as though it would fall apart. The hotel and parking are extremely inconvenient. Extremely limited food and dining options, added to an already disappointing experience. We actually enjoyed the casino across the street much more and would recommend The Lodge over the Ameristar! They have multiple dining options with more user friendly hours. Stay anywhere else!!!

The property is slightly dated however, it is still a nice place to stay. Great staff and excellent restaurants. Would absolutely recommend staying here.
