Right next to the park
This was a 1 night stay while I was working on the hurricane Helene recovery in Newport, so I wasn't in the hotel much. But the service was good, the room seemed clean and the bed was comfy. I've stayed in this hotel on other trips. It's not the fanciest in town, but I've never had any issues, and the best part is it's right next to the park, so coming in or out, you're not sitting in traffic all the way through town. You can even use the bypass to pigeon forge on your way in and out, so you don't deal with it all all.

Terrible. Not clean. Smelled like animal. Sheets were not changed. Fixtures all loose and falling out. Toilet not connected securely to the floor. No shower curtain at all. Went to complain about it and the front desk employee was passed out sleeping behind the counter at 10:55 AM. Just an absolutely terrible experience all the way around.

Quick getaway
Motel is being renovated. Our room had been recently done. Nice, quiet and clean. Tub drained slowly but shower was good - a bit low for tall people. Not too bad to walk downtown, a trolley stop was close by but we didn't use it.

Last year we stayed out was amazing the bed was so comfortable, this time the bed was so hard it felt like sleeping on concrete. When we came in to shower and use the jacuzzi the hot water didn't work, they came and fixed it and then we tried to use the jacuzzi and it didn't work. So we just tried to get some sleep but someone with a dog was there and the dog was a continuous bark and sounded like he was in pain it something. The room was clean other then that.

Overall our stay was good the room was clean, and newly renovated, and there was a bear visit every night..you should watch out for your pet. upon check-in, we were told there was an additional fee of $68 apparently after speaking with expedia that was a reservation fee which we were not aware of...we just thought we had already paid the full room fee...not a deal breaker though. As far as the room it was clean the bed was pretty hard, not the pillow-top mattress we have at home, but your average motel mattress. The motel is at the end of Gatlinburg towards the Cades Cove end, for older adults we could walk down to Gatlinburg but it was difficult to walk back. They are pet friendly, which was good, but we were on the 2nd floor so it was hard to get our luggage and stuff up the steps (no elevator) and down when we were leaving. We had read the reviews and didn't have any issues with the room being clean, the staff was always courteous..even the guys doing the construction work were nice! We knew there was not a coffee pot so we took a small one for morning coffee because there is not any kind of breakfast. The pet area is also not clean, not the motel's fault people do not pick up behind their pets! Overall our stay was great, clean room with clean towels everyday...sometimes they do run out of wash cloths, but not a deal breaker we had a wonderful time!

It’s clear this room was just renovated, there are no outlets covering the exposed wiring for the “fireplace”. The hot water doesn’t turn on, it stinks of fresh paint. The ac unit isn’t even attached to the wall, I can see the sidewalk sitting on the bed through a crack…the outlet for the unit is sitting on the floor and not even in the wall AND it does not heat, like it won’t turn on at all. There was also no comforter for the bed. When I went to the desk about just the smallest of these issues they said they were sending someone about the water and heat but no one ever came or contacted me again. The trash folks came at 240 am, blaring music to dump 3 large bins at the front of the property and just ended up spilling so much rubbish to the ground. It really is no wonder a big bear was walking around here during the night when there’s so much waste laying around. Can not NOT recommend this place enough. Horribly uncomfortable, cold and loud.

Cheapest hotel on our entire trip! But, you get what you pay for. They're going thru renovations currently, so the property looks a little iffy. In the edge of town, so if you’re lucky you’ll see some wildlife.

This property was being renovated when I stayed there, so it was a bit of a mess. It may have been damaged by Helene but I left before the hurricane arrived, so I don't know for sure. Off season rate was cheap, and it's located right by the park entrance-- you don't have to fight the horrible Gatlinburg traffic. Bears wandered the property but didn't harm any people or pets.A reminder to please use bear-proof trash receptacles in and near the park!!

The dog park was convenient if you are traveling with a pet. We saw several black bears on and around the property. There appeared to be several extended stay guest at this particular property. The complete staff was excellent though.

This is a very cute hotel, newly remodeled. My room was better than expected. It is super close to all of the shops but far enough away that the noise was not an issue. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again

Clean rooms, friendly staff, they were remodeling some of the rooms while we there so it was a little noisy during the day.. some of the place around the hotel were ran down so it made it sketchy
