Definitely does not match Expedia’s rating but you get what you pay for though. The view from the room was obstructed by the front of the roofline leaving only a partial sightline to the gas station across the street. The property is very dated, in need of repair and amenities are lacking.

Excellent staff and service.
The stay was very pleasant. We arrived at night and left early the next morning. The breakfast was okay for what it was. The main thing that stuck out was that the service was excellent! Staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Very run down property. Dirty towels in the bathroom and bathroom had a lot of hair in the shower. The only chair in the room was actually encased in plastic covers that couldn’t be removed. Front desk clerk was friendly, but the property was very undesirable.

I have never stayed in a Microtel and didn't realize Micro in this case meant no amenities at all. Not a hanger in the room to hang your clothes. One hook on the wall. One square room with a door to an adjoining room. 2 Queen beds. Very basic.

The shower leaked all over the flooring in the bathroom. Mopping it up took a while, the furniture is being replaced so is a bit old, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Not very soundproof..not sure where they were but talking residents kept me up quite late. Easy access in and out of the hotel, front end staff were wonderful. Although there was breakfast, I would say it should be labelled continental…nothing hot other than waffles. Not many choices for me as I am gluten free…fortunately I pack my own bread!

We arrived to Gallup later than expected due to rough weather between Oklahoma and Gallup - From tornado warnings to snow storms. We were road weary and our 11wk old was a bit fussy upon arrival. The staff at Microtel was kind and helpful! Our room was well kept, clean and comfortable. The cable wasn’t working well for a moment and the front desk clerk was kind enough to walk my fiance through how to rectify the issue. The shower was warm and welcoming. The convenience of the conditioning shower gel bottle within the shower was great! Once we settled into a few hours of slumber, we were all three appreciative of the warm welcome and ease of check in! Microtel Gallup will be our choice stay next time we roadtrip Route 66/I40 to visit family across several states!

They love their weed!
The customer service by the front desk was good. What wasn't so good was the overwhelming smell of weed in the lobby as well as the hallway. Even our room smelled of weed! It's a little ironic that cigarette smoking is not allowed but the place reeks of marijuana. If you don't like the smell of weed, don't stay here!
