Built in 1923 by Edward Stein, the Magnolia House was consistently voted one of the top B&Bs in Fredericksburg since 1991. It has been converted from a B&B and is now a premier vacation rental in which you can rent the entire five bedroom house for a gathering with friends and family or as spacious suites with separate sitting areas, fireplaces and private entrances. The home features the Lilli Marleen & American Beauty suites, which include 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, and the Magnolia and Bluebonnet suites are each 1 bedroom and 1 bath. The property is spotless and well appointed with high quality linens, fluffy towels, signature toiletries and luxurious spa robes- all selected with your ultimate comfort in mind. After a long day enjoying the beauty of the Hill Country, relax with a glass of wine next to the koi pond or enjoy a soak in one of the 2 hot tubs. HOSTS - Home completely to yourself. There is separate cottage at the rear of the property where the groundskeeper lives but your privacy is always respected.

Great old style house. Inside well done, comfortable and decorated. Lawn care has been neglected. Home advertised as blocks from historic district. True, blocks from northern boundary of historic district, but many, many blocks from downtown historic district.

Quiet Nice Home Close to Main Street
This house is deceptive at first but once you go inside you’ll be surprised at how big it is. Very old timey feel to it but that’s what makes it great. Location is awesome too since it was only a 5 mins drive to Main Street. Our group loved the house, would definitely stay again.

Great House, Great Location, but a few things to know.
Overall we loved this property. The location was perfect and it had enough room for all our guests. We had a total of 5 couples who came to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. The house was charming, clean and relatively comfortable. The beds were great. We did have a few challenges and I do feel like part of this would have been good to know up front. The house advertises as a 5 bedroom 5 bathroom, which sort of suggests that there are 5 master bedrooms when in fact there are not. Technically speaking there really are no traditional master bedrooms. 3 of the 5 did have private bathroom accessibility but 2 of the bedrooms did not. Also, with 10 people we had planned to cook meals and given that the property had 2 full kitchens we expected that would be possible but we found basic things missing like skillets and baking trays. Just trying to do breakfast tacos was extremely complicated because neither kitchen had the right equipment. In the evening, enjoying the backyard and hot tub was difficult and we ultimately gave up on it because the lighting was extremely poor. Also, it's worth noting that one of the bedrooms is only accessible by either walking through another bedroom or entering through a separate exterior entrance. So this made navigating the house a little tricky, but ultimately not that big of a deal. All in all we did love the house and would consider staying there again in the future but it would have been good to have better information and details about the kitchen and bathroom situations.

The house was perfect for a group, everyone had their own space and bathroom. The backyard was our favorite part, it was spacious, well groomed and included two hot tubs!
