Unique and Lovely Experience
This was one of the most unique stays! You have to stay here on your stay in Fredericksburg! The train car was decorated in authentic (or what appeared to be) furnishings, especially highlighting President Theodore Roosevelt. It was bigger than expected. The days and nights were very quiet and peaceful. It will help if you bring a small flashlight to use if walking back at night because it can be dark as you approach the train car. The hall/walkway down the train car is narrow, so it would not be comfortable for overly large individuals.

40th Anniversary
We had an overall great trip, could have used more lighting outside for coming and going in the evening. But with that being said it was interesting place to stay. I would stay again.

Romantic cozy stay
The Pullman is an interesting step back in history. The preservation of the railcar character adds to ambience. The Pullman is a nice place for a romantic getaway. Only drawback was the people trying to use it as a background for photos. The steps are a little step to the entrance but not horrible

This property is like stepping into the past. Seeing what it was like when this beautiful car was created. The bed was so soft you melted into it. Loved this train car experience.

A unique opportunity
We very much enjoyed our stay in the train car. The AC kept us cool, it was very quiet, and a close walk or drive to everything in town.

Fun and Romantic Trip to the Age of Trains
Very clean, comfortable, and romantic place to spend a night or two with my wife. We arrived very late and used a lock box location to pick up the key. We were really happy to not to need to bother anyone that late. If you are doing this, be sure to arrange this with the host before hand. Upon arrival, we were delighted by the period decorations and historic texts provide. It was a fun way to connect with the Pullman. The car had all of the amenities that we expect with modern accommodations, and they blended well with the historic features. The location would be within a walk to Main St, if the weather were good. For us the weather was a bit to cold for the walk, but the drive was very short. There was ample parking just outside of the train. As a warning (and I am sure, they call this out), if you need an ADA style, this is probably not the stay for you. We loved the location, and the experience, and will be recommending it to others for a fun and romantic get away.

Broken heart
My son b-day was horrible. The place was uncleaned, no linen, bedding on floor was dirty and stained as well. Restroom had trash overflowing from prior tenants. Couch had dog hair on it. No towels and roaches in kitchen side. Spoke to manager she was kind. She sent over cleaning people and they treated me like we shouldn't have been there! My son was in PJs btw tome they arrived with bag of linen. For what i payed the experience was horrible. The only thing was my 5 yr old was amazed to be in a train. I saved for this trip and it was disappointing

Great unique place to stay
The rental management company was very helpful with questions about the property and about things to do in town. The property itself was very clean and surprisingly spacious. It’s a wonderful unique place to rent filled with history. We can’t wait to go back next year!

Post wedding/mini moon
This was the best place to rent post wedding. I wanted to find something you wouldn’t expect to find in Texas and I had no idea this Pullman car existed—having been born and raised in Texas. My husband and I met back East and moved to Texas in 2021 so I love finding things/places he wouldn’t expect to see/exist in Texas.

Anniversary Weekend
Covid caused the last minute cancellation of a trip we had scheduled so we spent a weekend visiting wineries, dining and went to the elephant preserve and needed last minute lodging. We found the rail car and couldn’t have selected a better fit for our trip. We were isolated from the masses yet just a couple minute walk to Main Street and all it had to offer. It offers a glimpse of the past while providing some modern conveniences. Great place for a unique overnight or weekend stay!

Great experience overall, like staying the night in a museum or traveling back in time. New bed would help and cleaner air quality setup/system but it is a 125 year old train car.
