The Dogtrot is one of the Hill Country’s most successful and well known guest houses.
The log cabin is built in a southern style called a “dogtrot”. A dogtrot is a building with sleeping quarters at each end joined by a breezeway in the middle.
The Dogtrot was originally built on the banks of the Cumberland river in Tennessee. In 1997, it was moved to the Texas Hill Country.
The Dogtrot has been inspected repeatedly and was given an “outstanding quality” certification by Historic Accommodations of Texas for 10 consecutive years. The entire property is smoke-free. Our B&B offers 2 suites for guests.
