“Slightly Off Center- Sea” is named just that for its prime location next to Center Street - the hub of Folly's great shopping and dining. From here you can walk to EVERYTHING in downtown Folly including coffee shops, surf shops, Bert's Market, and local dining favorites like the Lost Dog Café, Taco Boy or Rita's! Only two blocks to the beach, close to the newly renovated Folly Beach Pier.

The Space
With a private courtyard and HEATED saltwater pool, “Slightly Off Center” is the perfect place to relax with family & friends and, with its ideal location, truly offers the BEST of a Folly Beach vacation. This 4-Bedroom, 3 bath home sleeps 8, but you can rent the attached duplex home next door to accommodate groups of 16 and double your room to spread out. Need more space? Rent the duplex opposite and accommodate up to 32 people for your wedding party, family reunion, or multi-family beach getaway. See bottom of listing for shortcuts to these options.

With chic, coastal interiors, private outdoor patio and saltwater plunge pool, “Slightly Off Center-Sea” is designed for days filled with fun. On the 1st floor, you'll enjoy the light-filled great room with Smart HD TV and access to the outdoor living space, stylish, compact kitchen appointed with everything you need to start the day with a steaming cup of coffee or cook up the islands freshest “catch of the day,” dining area, and washer/dryer. You will also find a bedroom with a Queen bed and full bath. Upstairs is a roomy Master Bedroom with King bed and private spa-like bath. Two additional bedrooms offer 1 Queen bed, and 2 Twin beds with a shared full bath.

Access
Each of our luxury vacation rentals is accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and allows for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests' stay will be provided by your Concierge on the date of your check-in. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, your concierge will be ready and waiting to assist you by phone.

Interaction
Upon arrival, after the established 4PM check-in time, you may enter and exit the rental at your leisure with these codes. Additionally, requests can be made for your Concierge to meet you at the property upon check-in. We are here to make the check-in process a seamless one!

Concierge Team
Our Concierge Team is committed to delivering exceptional service, impeccable cleanliness and all the amenities of your everyday home. With each stay you'll enjoy high thread count linens, spa quality towels, hair dryer, ironing board, washer and dryer, standard coffee maker, kitchen cookware and utensils, shower toiletries and soaps, extra linens and towels, air conditioning, cable and wireless internet, and more. With our concierge services you can choose to have us handle all the details of your trip. From heating the pool in advance of your stay to stocking your refrigerator or reserving beach equipment, there isn't much our Concierge Team can't help you with. And should you need any recommendations, it would be our pleasure to provide suggestions for restaurants, make reservations, organize activities, and answer any questions.

Other Things to Note
We offer the option to purchase trip insurance through CSA Travel Insurance. We highly recommend adding trip insurance to your reservation, especially if you are traveling during hurricane season (June-November).

At the time of booking, we require a payment of 50% of your total rental amount. The remainder of your balance will be due 30 days prior to your check in date and will be automatically charged to the card we have on file. If you are booking within 30 days of your expected arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking.

Folly Beach has a noise ordinance starting at 10 p.m. that applies to private residences. Please be mindful of your neighbors. Noise complaints can result in fines.

Minimum rental age is 25.

Summer Vacation
This was our first trip to Folly and we were not disappointed. Slightly Off Center was very clean and equipped with everything we needed, everything! The location was literally within 500 feet of 80% of the restaurants, bars and shops we frequented, and the walk to the beach was less than 3 blocks. We were very happy with the accommodations and would recommend to anyone with a party of 8 or less.

We paid a premium rate to stay at this property titled, “Heated Pool, 2-Blocks to Beach, Pet Friendly” and all of it was true, except we arrived to a pool that had a layer of sand at the bottom, leaves in it and its filter, and cloudy water. We messaged with the customer service team daily for seven days about the issue, esp since a pool tech was supposed to come twice during our stay and hadn’t. They informed us that the pool company had come 3x during our stay and sent time stamped photos (that of course didn’t match the photos we had taken or the experience we were having) and refused a partial refund, even though we weren’t able to enjoy the pool that was promised. Very disappointing and we will not use this company again.

This condo, a stone's throw from the hoppin center of Folly beach, was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Plenty of room, a lovely backyard with tiny pool, and an easy walk to the sand. Despite the busy street nearby, it was perfectly quiet inside. The property managers were quick to respond to our questions and made sure our stay was as good as could be. Highly recommend.

Mismanaged Concierge, Poor Communication & NO HEAT!
It was a very disappointing Christmas vacation due to the inconvenience of the rental. We understand it was extremely cold this season for the low country ( my parents have lived in Charleston for over 20 years) so I do understand the weather challenges and planning that needs to be involved. However, when the HVAC unit stopped producing heat, property management struggled to have a remedy or to compensate for the inconvenience. Instead, we spent hours moving to another second rental impacting our first night and plans for the evening. When in the second unit , it too had heat issues, however our alternative was to wear heavy clothing to hope that the first unit would be working in the morning. No emergency technician was ever called. With dealing with the property management, I believe there could have been stronger communication ( all communication via text no phone call) and more transparency with the issue, especially when we learned that the first unit was having similar HVAC issues that week. . We were told many different stories over the 3 days such as HVAC tech was working the unit (which did not happen) then told again all HVAC companies in the area are closed until Tuesday ( which sounds highly unlikely since when we were eating lunch Saturday, another family next to our table had similar issues on the island. They were able to book an emergency HVAC technician at their house on Saturday to remedy their issue). I share this feedback because it is discouraging that not all was done. Our only alternative was to go home early. In 4 days, property management want us to stay at 3 different units? Why would we do that. Again, this is all via text, which was delayed at times. No one ever called us. We have always booked through their services in the past, however to be honest I don't feel enough has been done to compensate for the inconvenience or hardship. We were refunded one night stay ( the night we went home) and they kept the taxes and fees for the night they refunded us? Odd. Overall be wary of the property management communication and be sure to document all the facts. Ask if the HVAC has been serviced and is working correctly. It would have been great to share a review that we received personable and proactive concierge service however, in our experience that was NOT the case.

Great Thanksgiving Getaway
What an awesome house for a a holiday weekend in Folly Beach! It was perfect for our group of 7 family members to meet for the extended Thanksgiving weekend. Very comfortable furniture, beds and a great kitchen. The outdoor patio and pool were awesome for extending the living space. (Pool was warm also contrary to other reviews.) We will be back!

We loved being so close to Center St. and the beach. Having the pool was great. The heater wasn't working, but it was warm enough to use comfortably. The only negative for us was that the floors were really dirty and the furniture upholstery also needed to be cleaned. Simple fixes that would make this a perfect getaway property.

Misleading Information
Even though the house was nicely decorated, there was a lot of misleading information. For example, a heated pool was offered but it wasn’t heated. The property management was contacted but nothing was done about that. There was mold in the shower of one of the upstairs bathrooms. The air conditioning did not work—-was 77 degrees until an HVAC repairman came to fix that. The primary bathroom sink’s faucet came out in a trickle with NO HOT WATER! For the cost of the rental, my family and I were VERY disappointed!🙁

Overall a great place and location
The house is beautiful and newly updated. The kitchen is basically stocked but could use a few more helpful items like more plates/bowls/glasses. We had to run the dishwasher multiple times to make sure we have enough for five people. The heated pool was not heated when we arrived after taking with the company, a part needed to be replaced, so they delivered cornhole to help us pass the time in the backyard. Family that slept upstairs did not hear the sounds of the city that the couple on the main floor heard. I recommend ear plugs if your a light sleeper. We were able to leave our cars in the drive way and walk to the beach/shops/restaurants. Going into Charleston was a short 20 min drive. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a couple days at the beach!

First Time in Charleston
Our group enjoyed our stay so much we’re planning another weekend to go back. The property being located right next to the main strip in Folly, a short walk to the beach and a 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston made this an ideal place to stay for any group. The property itself was clean, and spacious. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Personal Oasis in prime location!
This has to be the best place to stay in Folly! The location is unreal. We loved being able to walk everywhere within 3 minutes. The house was wonderfully updated and the pool was perfect to cool off or float in. I would totally stay here again!! Couple things to be aware of - there was a miscommunication with the property managers. One employee said we could park at the unit and walk around folly until the house was ready. After driving 14 hours through the night and arriving at the house we were told we couldn’t park there. We couldn’t find any other parking on the beach on this hot Saturday afternoon so it was really frustrating. Also, the house is very minimally stocked - don’t expect any spices, oil, condiments etc. You will need to buy/bring everything.
