Best cabin near Glacier
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gary and Theresa's cabin in Essex. The cabin is the most well stocked and the cleanest vacation rental I've ever stayed at. The hosts were so kind and left us a bottle wine and pasta on our first night. Location is phenomenal; perfect for exploring both sides of the park. We would happily return!

Best Cabin in thevwest
Cabin was great-extremely clean and well stocked - location was good for hitting hikes on both sides of the Park. It is close to road and train tracks but that’s common in this area. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone visiting Glacier NP.

Very clean, charming home. Right between both Glacier park entrances.
Hosts were fabulous, it was like having a kind neighbor you enjoy conversations with. My daughter fell in love with their dog. Super clean cabin, kitchen well stocked with whatever tools / etc you need, new grill was enjoyed so we didn't heat up the cabin. The train is right across the street, but not enough of an issue to deter a positive review (it did wake us a few times). Kids liked counting how many trains they saw in a week. Good location between park entrances. No A/C in the house, but it only got a little stuffy late afternoon and we were out of the house most days (with highs around 90 this week). Thanks Gary and Theresa for a fabulous stay!

Simply beautiful
This property is so well taken care. We travel a lot and this was the cleanest stay yet. I found this surprising for a cabin in the woods. The hosts were super sweet and left us a bottle of wine and homemade apple sauce. We were blessed to find this gem and enjoy Glacier while being immersed in the forest. We loved our down-time relaxing by the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and playing horseshoes.

Perfect location for Glacier National Park
A wonderful property located between the West Entrance of GNP and the east side which makes it perfect for exploring all sides of the park. This spotless cabin was equipped with a full kitchen including cooking basics (oil, spices), satellite tv, dvd, washer/dryer including all detergents and basic toiletries. The host is very welcoming and creates the perfect balance of being available to you while also offering you your privacy. The property has plenty of space for a family to enjoy, including camp fire and horseshoes as well as a nice creek just a minute down the road. Would definitely recommend.

cabin too close to the road
The cabinet closest to the road and the train noise right across the road is very loud and squealing all night and day. Highway noise right by the cabin picked up around 5 AM it is very noisy all day on the loft bedroom is nice but the only accessible bathroom floor it is downstairs.

Perfect Place to Stay
This cabin is so cozy and beautiful. As many conveniences as possible were provided to us from staple pantry items, to DVDs and games provided. We had a place to wash clothes, cook meals, watch tv. It is located conveniently equal distance from the West and East Glacier entrances. We had less than desirable weather during our stay but the cabin was the perfect place to hunker down, make meals and watch movies.

We were greeted by the very friendly owner Gary and his sweet playful dog, Apollo. They were both so welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The cabin was so cozy and beautiful! It had pretty much everything we needed. We did not have any issues and had the best first (and hopefully not last) time visiting.

Second home
This was one of the best decisions that we made in life. Gary and Theresa we’re not just host for us but like a family. They made sure that our Stay was exactly what we desired. They even called us over for dinner and treated us like their family members. They are a pure soul. We will visit them again for sure. The house is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is in there. You all just have to adjust with the internet which is quite slow. Everything else is perfect. Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful house. I assure you no one will regret.

Beautiful cabin!
Our family of 5 stayed at this beautiful cabin at the end of July. The cabin had everything we needed and the owners, Gary and Theresa, were so friendly and amazing. My special needs daughter absolutely LOVED the trains that went by frequently, and all the kids enjoyed playing with the well-trained dog. For us, the location between entrances to the park was perfect. Wifi and cell service is limited, but there is a landline for emergencies. I believe it was hot for their climate, while we were there, and although there is no AC in the cabin, it was totally fine for us!

Best Stay Ever
This cabin was amazing! We had THE BEST stay. Gary and Theresa were awesome hosts. The cabin was gorgeous; the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s halfway between the east and west entrance to the park, which was perfect for our stay. We had a wedding to attend in the park and Gary and Theresa were kind enough to let everyone get ready at the cabin - it made for beautiful pictures. They were ready and willing to let us use their entire grounds during our stay. We even had our wedding BBQ in their shed the next day. All in all, I’d say this was BY FAR the best experience I’ve ever had with a rental, and it’s going to be hard to top it. I’d give a hundred stars if could!

A beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting!
Gary and Theresa were the perfect hosts! He gave us elk sausage for breakfast, which made it especially yummy and a super story for the kids to tell their friends, that they ate elk! It was a perfect vacation hiking all day in Glacier then relaxing with a fire and s’mores at the cabin. The cabin was gorgeous and in immaculate condition!

Awesome cabin
Pros: The Cabin layout was good, well built, and well-stocked. Clean, plenty of towels, soap, coffee, and everything else needed for our stay including a smores kit for the outside fire-pit and a welcome bottle of wine and fruit. Stock up at the Super-1 store for food before coming and you are set. It is between the West and East entrance of Glacier National park which for us worked out well because we split our trip between going to the West for rafting and hiking the Avalance trails and the East for hiking the Many Glacier and Two Medicine trails. Cons: We just so happened to be there during 100+ degree weather (one of those hundred-year events). One day it was 105 and the next morning it was 52. The cabin does not have air conditioning but the owners provided fans and there was good ventilation. But this did mean we had to open windows which let in some of the train and road noise which may bother those who stay upstairs (but not a problem for those who stayed in the downstairs bedroom). The internet was OK for checking emails but don’t expect to work from home here. The Excellent: Gary and Theresa (our hosts) are wonderful people. They even provided us a local delicacy for our dinner the first night (fantastic!). They were like a friendly neighbor you enjoy bumping into but were never in our way. We really did enjoy their company and felt oddly connected even though we were there only a week. I can’t say enough good things about them. Just kind, good people.
