Good fun area

Beach was crowded other then state park where we went most of the time, appliances in condo need replaced washer and dryer where is poor condion didn’t dry towels dishwasher would continuously cycle and hot water heater was only good for one shower and we replaced the toaster did not work.location was great crossing road was a little difficult but overall the pool was great other then water was to cold for the season jacuzzi needs to be turned up to atleast 100 plus degrees

The pool was great. Restaurant on site was convenient and not overpriced. Unit was clean and well stocked. Public beaches were difficult to find but we found a small beach near the resort.

Enjoyed our time in Destin

We stayed here during a baseball tournament and enjoyed the amenities. We were able to walk to the beach on the few days we had extra time to go over. It is a higher level unit, which was nice as the pool stays a bit noisy until it closes. We had to be up early some mornings for baseball games, so there was a night where music went a bit late for us down around the pool, but if weren’t on a schedule we would have been down there enjoying it. The unit was clean and just the right size for our family, 2 adults and 2 boys (age 9 & 11).

Perfect location

Over all we loved this place. The pool was so much fun, the beach access was only 5 minutes away, plus we were right in the vicinity of all the shopping centers. The reason I gave it a 4/5 the condo was very sandy and dusty, as soon as you walked in your feet was walking on sand, it could use some up to date painting, maybe some new or updated appliances such as the washer dryer and dishes. Some dishes had chips on them. The main door from the living room was extremely hard to open so we had to go through the main bedroom to access it as well. We did find a lot of other people’s hair on the clean towels the tooled seat and wall. Other than that we still enjoyed our time. Over all it was just right!

Enjoyable stay

The property was clean, safe and enjoyable. The pool area was relaxing and fun for all of us. We loved the tropical atmosphere. The location allowed us easy access to the Gulfarium, the Habor broadwalk, Buccaneers Pirate Ship Cruise, Dolphin Watch Boats, restaurants, shopping and Walmart. It was a great stay. The only thing we didn't like was having to haul luggage, grocery and supplies across the front of the building and so far. There really should be parking on both side of the building.

No check in information / trash bags

I was never sent the check-in information before we arrived. I emailed but got a generic response someone would return my email but if it were the weekend to expect a long response time so I called the customer care number to get the information. In addition, there was only two trash bags in the tallest trash can. Need more trash bags. Also need better pots/ pans. Only 2 pots.Skillets are ceramic. Need at least 1 non- stick skillet. Need more dishwasher tabs. Need sample tide pods/ dryer sheets and a can opener. Furniture/ patio furniture very nice. Overall room and stay was very nice.

Wonderful for Families

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit at the Palms of Destin. The property managers have thought of everything a family may need. My only recommendations would be to add one or two Tupperware containers so any cooked food can be saved and to possibly add a lamp or some sort of device that allows for USB connections to be plugged in. Some of the light switches are connected to plugs, meaning if you switch them off, you could essentially be cutting power to where a charger may be plugged in. A bit frustrating when you aren’t aware of that. We loved the pools and the access to the beach, the shuttle was very accommodating. I would not recommend this unit if you’re wanting to walk to the beach. We have four children ages 7-15 and we would not want to walk the distance required with all in tow. If you’re looking for something ON the beach and within reasonable walking distance, this is not the condo for you. We would stay here again without hesitation.

If you are wanting to book here because that photo of the amazing lagoon pool sold you, please know it is NOT HEATED!!! Very misleading listing. We vacationed here April/May and the water was freezing cold, the Ocean was warmer!! We were so disappointed!! Our 3 young kids were so upset they couldn’t enjoy it. The listing said heated pool, yes there was ONE heated small pool that EVERYONE was in because the other was way too cold. And the kids splash pool was freezing and the splash pad wasn’t on. Also, this condo is off an airport / a direct flight path where planes come and go every few minutes so it is very noisy. We also had someone come into our room while we weren’t there. I didn’t like that at all. Overall, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Palms of Destin! It was a great location and the walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all! We did notice that the disposal was not working properly and caused the sink to back up. Otherwise, everything was in working order.
