Create lasting memories with your loved ones when you stay in SunDestin 209. This unit is conveniently located on the second floor and above the indoor pool and also offers a view of the sundeck, jacuzzi, and the kids' splash park, along with a beach view partially restricted by the pool roof directly in front of the balcony. Nonetheless, you can indulge in a lovely beach view on the right side of the private balcony. While here, go for a refreshing dip in either of the two pools or get a good sweat in the fitness room. Immortalize your time here with something from the gift shop after dining at the in-house restaurant.

From the moment you enter, you will fall in love with the beautiful, elegant décor, along with the “at-home” ambiance throughout. Upon entering, you will find the comfortable primary bedroom, which includes a large, mounted television and leads into the half and full bathroom, the latter of which contains the washer and dryer. Both the full and half bathrooms are easily accessible through the bedroom and the hallway. Down the hallway, you will find the renovated, modern, and fully-equipped kitchen, which sports stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, the living room, and the dining area. The living room boasts a large television and DVD player combination, perfect for a relaxing movie night.

Step out onto the spacious balcony, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee or taking in memorable views and partial sunsets. This lovely second-floor vacation rental has been completely remodeled to offer an updated, modern touch. It features premium appliances, including dimmable LED lights and built-in USB charging outlets, as well as tile and hard surface flooring.

SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing construction to the building. Please expect intermittent noise during construction hours of 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. If construction needs to go past these hours or on the weekends information will be posted a week in advance in the lobby of SunDestin. Construction will be completed by June 2025.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location

If your primary attraction is access to the beach, this is a great rental. It’s at a resort, so there is access to certain helpful amenities like 24/7 front desk. It’s a little tight in there, and there’s really only one window, with not a great view, but otherwise, we were very happy and I’d stay there again!

Ehh, it was okay.

PROS: Location is good. Clean room. Nice, updated furniture, decor, and appliances. Comfortable bed. Equipped with washer and dryer. CONS: Cramped even for a family of 4, especially the bathrooms. The balcony is useless. No view of the ocean unless you stand and are tall enough see it over top of the roof.

BYOB - bring your own blankets

Unit isn’t badly decorated or furnished with the exception of not having any blankets. I came with my two kids. My son was taking the pull out couch and there were no blankets/additional covers. When I called management, they were not helpful.

Photo misrepresents view! Beach and ocean view blocked by the pool roof. UGLYI can send pics if you want. Condo staff pushed for 20 minutes to attend condo sales. No screen on sliding door to listen to waves lapping. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Our stay was nice, but…

Our stay was nice but… Mattress was awful. Not sure how old it was, but it had been topped with a 3 inch piece of foam. We were exhausted when we went to bed the first night and didn’t notice, but the next morning we realized the sheets were threadbare, large yellow stain, and ripped! We paid too much to have that problem. When we reported it, it was promptly taken care of which we appreciated. The electric outlets In both bathrooms wouldn’t work. We had to plug hair dryer, curling iron, etc in to sockets In other rooms. The view was worse than we expected. The balcony was very crowded, and when the huge ac unit was on, it was so loud, you had to go inside. The condo was furnished nicely (except the mattress) with everything we needed.

View of roof with garbage on it

The actual condo was clean and nicely decorated. The view is not represented accurately. You look predominantly at a rooftop with garbage on it. Also, a large loud A/C unit sits on a third of the balcony, spewing dust and basically making it unusable. We were very disappointed for the price. Also, beware of the check in process. We were moving from the 18th floor to the 2nd floor, and we’re not allowed to check in early. We got no response from the property manager and the front desk could not help. There is also no where to put your luggage securely while you wait from 10 am to 4pm… so we piled it by our door and hoped for the best. The place sells its condos, but once sold cannot provide any customer service to people that rent through VRBO. So just be aware of that.

Great vacation!!

Very clean hotel and our room was clean and nicely decorated with upscale furnishings. It's a close walk to the beach, the restaurant in the hotel was a nice convenience with good food and great drinks! There is even a tiki bar outside, but it was closed until summer. There is also a little gift shop and it has some grocery items as well at the hotel, which is nice!Our room was perfect for the 2 of us. The air-conditioning unit on the deck was loud and didn't make it enjoyable to sit outside. Also, the adjoining bathroom doors made it cramped because they opened into each other. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back to sun destin resort!

Horrible view, bloody mattress

The view in the listing is not the view from your balcony. The view from the balcony is of the roof of the pool. I got to enjoy all of the bird poop and trash that people dropped from there balcony. The coffee pot didn’t work and had to wait two days to get a replacement, There communication was terrible. We couldn’t check in until 4 when Sun Dustin told us our room was ready for us at 1:00. Bloody mattress in the master bedroom. Horrible, horrible, horrible!

209 Sun Destin

Condo has been redone and is nice. However, the balcony overlooks a roof. The pic they show of the balcony doesn't make this clear. You have some view of the ocean, but it is def hindered and not pleasant - as well as VERY small. The Wifi in the building would not work. The beaches in Destin are private - so there was no room for everyone staying at Sun Destin to be on the bach comfortably. Those that purchase chairs and umbrellas for the "front row" were rude and said they paid for the view and would ask you to move if you were in front of them. At least 4 rows of people were crammed in front of the condo and couldn't go to the next "property". Staff in the umbrella hut were rude.
