Charming farmhouse located on 6.5 acres on the Core Sound. Half mile to Davis Ferry which takes you to Cape Lookout and 20 minutes to downtown Beaufort and Morehead City. Personal dock for skiff boats or use the public ramp 3 driveways down. Great fishing and wildlife watching close enough to the city without all the tourists.
There is a cottage beside the house which may be rented during your time. The waterfront is shared with 5 camp sites that may or may not be rented during your stay.

Beautifully appointed home with picturesque setting

This is an old , gracious dwelling with lots of charm and a vacation feeling back porch. It is so great for pet owners that this lady has it set up for dogs to stay and allows her renters that. It makes for a lovely stay, with the Harker's Island Ferry accessible not too far and also all the charms of downtown Beaufort a bit less than 30 mins away. The kid's area upstairs was a great space for our son to enjoy, and the views from up top there of the water are gorgeous.

The perfect getaway

My wife and I had the most relaxing vacation in many many years. The old farmhouse has nothing but charm. We absolutely loved staying here. The pet's fenced in area was great for our older small dog too. Nothing to do here but relax and that's just what we did. Thanks for having us!

Peaceful with Beautiful Views

We enjoyed our stay and would visit again. The views were wonderful, dolphins swam through inlet, watched sunrise while sitting in back sunroom with coffee and the breeze. It is a simple and beautiful home.

We had an overall great time

Arrived and got in really easy. House is spacious and clean with a great kitchen which we utilized every day. Was surprised at having a cottage that is also being rented off the same deck as the house only about 10 feet from corner. And the five camping spots on back end of property. Usually look for more private settings. My bad for not checking better. But it was all good no problems if you like out of the way places which I do this perfect. Owners are great to work with and the communication is awesome. Would rent again no problems.

Breezy Days

We loved relaxing on the front porch swing, the screened in back porch, the chairs overlooking the sound. Since the property was so close to the public boat ramp, my husband spent his days fishing and floating around the sound. The house was beautifully decorated and very charming. We were fortunate in that the cottage and campsites on the property were not rented to be others for the majority of our stay, so we truly got to separate from the rest of the world.

Morning splendor

This place was so enjoyable. Every morning getting to see the sunrise as it came up over the water was serenity. At night sitting there with a billion stars all around was just as nice. The house had lots of space great kitchen and the beds comfortable. Great water pressure for the shower after swimming too. Couldn’t ask for more. Close to Davis and Harkers Island ferry’s to go over to the banks also. I could go on and on.
