Rustic Throwback
If you are looking for a fancy place, this isn’t it. But if you are looking for a rustic getaway, it’s perfect. It reminded me of places we would go when I was young (I’m in my 60s) when it was about the outdoors. There’s a wonderful porch with rockers and chairs, a huge fire pit, your own horseshoes and then a short walk to the river. The cabin was roomy, clean and had everything needed. Having the two bathrooms was awesome. Staff was friendly and responsive. They even kept the bird feeders full each day. Wonderful place to watch a sunrise!

Too far to river
I inquired explaining we had an elderly/Alzheimer’s dad that doesn’t walk well. We were answered back and made reservations thinking cabin was close to water. There was no way he could make it to river and too rough for wheelchair. One of us had to stay behind with him. Very clean, well kept property, just not a good fit for us.
