Great location in the proximity of everything. The rooms have a feel of old and they are small but clean. The room I had was on the 10th floor so the train was noise was not a bother but I imagine lower levels guests may have an issue with that.

VIP Access was great - $10 off drinks at the bar at night and a free bottle of wine. Overall, an old hotel, built for the World Exposition in 1893, so small windows and dark in common areas. Quirky art deco and arabesque style to the hotel. Tea and scones were available for free starting at 2, but run out quickly at 2 so get there early. Bed was comfortable and staff accommodating.

Fantastic property in a really convenient location to walk to all the sites. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here while visiting Chicago.

The front office staff, a gentleman with glasses working the night shift on August 8, was rude and condescending, when we clarified the charges on site vs. Expedia charges. We had booked 2 rooms none of which, had in room electric kettles. We were told we had to request for one, in which we did, and was told that they are all out of stock. On the same night on check in, we had requested for additional drinking water bottles, beyond what was the allocated 2 water bottles per room as we had kids with us, which never arrived.

Clean, basic hotel, close to Allstate Arena.
This is a clean, basic hotel that is close to Allstate Arena. They have Harry Carey’s restaurant in the building with patio dining. The beds are so super comfortable. This place is a great deal for the price.
