Awesome bachelorette stay!

Myself and 8 other ladies stayed here for a long weekend. We all fit super comfortably. The place was beautiful and very clean. The house is incredibly well stocked with awesome features such as in home speaker system, large TVs, k-cups/coffee creamers, and comfy beds/pillows. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect spot for Winter Break!

This house was the perfect spot for our winter break! Close enough to the resort for skiing and entertainment but far enough away to provide relaxation from a crowd. The house is the cleanest rental I have ever used and the kitchen has every spice and cooking tool under the sun. Can’t beat the views either.

Couldn’t have had a better experience!!!!

Stayed here for a ski weekend in Wintergreen with a group of 11 and we were blown away by the experience. The Chalet is incredible - very clean, spacious, fully stocked, comfortable, beautiful views! The location is perfect and the home itself is very well maintained. The owner was very responsive and helpful answering questions and communicating. Wouldn’t change a thing and would love to stay again in the future. Highly recommend!

Wonderful house and beautiful location

Clean, spacious, and wonderful for a trip with extended(or a large) family. The hot tub got hot and stayed hot, everything was thoroughly labeled and easy to find and the host was very responsive. The rooms clean and well placed, the kitchen beautifully stocked, there are hiking trails walking distance in both directions. It was a great space for us, we can’t wait to visit again!

Girls Weekend

This house was perfect for our girls weekend! 9 of us fit very comfortably in the house for a long weekend. The furniture is all very cozy, the house was spotless, and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I’ve used in a rental home! The homeowner was very communicative and made check in and check out very easy. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends and family!

Xcellent House for Relaxation

I do not usually write reviews, good or bad but I am making an exception here. Shamokin View Chalet exceeded all of our expectations. The house was very well stocked, very clean and super comfortable. We watched a lot of football on the huge TV’s and the kids marinated in the hot tub. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. All in all this was a great place to decompress after Christmas. Hope to get back soon.

Photos don’t do this justice!

We absolutely loved our stay at this chalet. Incredibly clean and spacious. It was a dream to wake up in the mornings to have coffee on the decks overlooking the beautiful mountain views. The kitchen was FULLY STOCKED much more so than other rentals we have stayed at. Only downsides we had (completely out of owner control): pool pass was provided but only during certain times for non-residents, the driveway is really scary to navigate as it is steep, and you have to take your own trash to the resort trash bins. Noting here only for awareness but overall, we would all love to stay here again!

The Perfect Getaway to Unwind. RELAX, and connect with family.

We wanted SPACE to spread out for our various age groups. The spacious living areas upstairs and downstairs were ideal. The many TVs offered each person the perfect place to watch movies, sports, and special shows. The sound system allowed us to celebrate the holiday and connect to our favorite music. 😍 Our Thanksgiving dinner was prepared in a roomy kitchen with a dining area that sat all of us. The setup allowed us to serve buffet style and prepare meals without stress! Our family was thrilled with the house, bedrooms, bathrooms, and deck areas! Communication and the kind greetings made us feel welcome. Stupendous! WE were sad to leave thus feeling our time together in this lovely setting/home was PERFECT. The many stairs would be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

Absolutely gorgeous house

This house is so beautiful and perfect for a nice getaway trip with stunning mountain views! Communicating with the owner of the house was great. It was Located close to hiking walking trails (within walking distance from the house). The floor plan is perfect for multiple groups and both floors are perfect for entertainment. All the furniture was unbelievably comfortable and super clean. We will definitely be booking again.

Bachelorette party

The best VIEW. Only a 5 min walk to the trailhead of Shamokin Falls trail. There is literally not a single thing that has not been thought of in advance if your arrival. Every bed had its own towel and throw blanket. Coffee, creamer and sugar all in place for your enjoyment. Such a wonderful experience.

Amazing house and stay- we will be back!

This is by far the best house we have ever stayed in in Wintergreen. The exterior of the house is gorgeous and the landscaping is superb. The views are incredible – it’s a treehouse perched high on a mountain! We loved having two living rooms. The kitchen is fully stocked and beautiful! The house is right down the street from the Upper Schmokin Falls hike, also! The property manager was wonderful to work with and the process was seamless. We will absolutely return to this lovely house! Thank you again so much for your hospitality!

We stayed at the property with friends. The house was as described and very clean. They have me everything we needed for our stay and then more! The property manager was easy to get in contact with to answer questions. Everything in the house was labeled which was nice so we knew what turned on what, etc. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay!

Mom’s weekend away

A group of girlfriends and I took a cabin trip away from kids/husbands. This house offered all that we wanted: clean/fresh, clean hot tub, nice bathrooms, comfy beds! Most of the furnishings and beds/mattresses were new. The linens were nice and not on the cheap side. Walking distance to hiking trails and a quick drive to Devils Backbone Brewery and obviously the ski resort. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful home in the mountains!

Our family reunion stay was wonderful. The home is well-appointed and decorated with a fashionable and hip mountain decor. With many thoughtful details like fuzzy blankets, a gourmet kitchen stocked with every possible accessory, and a hot tub, we did not want to leave! The Appalachian Trail is close by, as are other trails. We will be back!

Peace in the mountains

Very clean and well maintained. The hot tub was modern and clean. Enjoyed the gas fireplace with the temps getting down to 17 one night. Fantastic walks around the neighborhood with the beautiful Shamokin Falls trail right across the street. We also headed straight out the "front" door to find the AT. Hiked on that for about an hour. Fantastic views and rock formations. We also had a close flyover of a great horned owl as we were hiking..

Spacious and nice view

The house was very spacious with a beautiful well equipped kitchen and modern decor and appliances. The only complaints were that the house had not been "deep cleaned". I had to move the nightstand to plug in my phone and found a lot of dead bugs, a water bottle and a q tip under the night stand. Appeared to be that way throughout the house if you had to move anything, appeared to only be clean in the areas you could see. The driveway is a bit treacherous and the handrail leading to the door was rickety. The hot tub was nice as well as the porch furniture, plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of living space and the property manager was accomodating allowing us to check in early and communicated with me very well. Property is close to a hiking trail head which we enjoyed. Overall great stay.
